Customer Review: My girls are LOV'N it!!!

We got a great deal through amazon, and were told that it wouldn't arrive until after Christmas. Thankfully it did with a week in advance. My girls recieved it for Christmas and we put it up that evening. It took my husband and myself about 30 minutes to set it up. The part that was the most complicated was putting the covers on. They're not quite clear in the directions, but after one time of getting it on wrong, we figured it out and hand no problems getting the other side on.
I love the factor that one side fits inside the other for storage. It seems to be made of VERY sturdy material, unlike the other rose pettal cottage accesorries, and I forsee my girls using it for a LONG time!
If you're looking to buy this for your children some place to play I'd greatly recommend it. We have other similiar tent sets and none have held up as well as this has. It is light weight, and don't be surprised if your children tip it over,or move it around, but that's part of the fun. My kids love to turn it on it's side, and use the doors as a "dog house".

This cottage has been a great indoor make believe passtime for my 3 yr. old grandaughter - she prefers to keep the two halfs of the cottage pushed together and likes to enter through the door - she keeps her baby doll in the nursery and sings while she use's her broom to keep the floor clean, her mom likes to sneek peaks at her at play when she is inside with her make believe conversations and say's that she also likes to take her blanket and pillow inside for her after noon nap's - the sample of the material that is used for the appliances attached to the outside of the package is adequate and after reading other reviews IRose Petal Cottage Collection with Rose Petal NURSERY and Makin' Muffins BAKING SET have to say this has been a hit - I don't know how it would go if it were being used in conjunction to other children and rough play but for her alone it has been again a great rainy day stay indoor imaginarium.Customer Review: FUN for all ages

My daughters ages 9 and 4 wanted the Cherry Blossom Market for Christmas but got this instead and they love it. Didn't get too many accessories for it yet but we'll get it one at a time. Slowly. I think we're going to mix and match the accessories. I saw some other brand food toys that would be more fun for them. My girls are average sized for their age and they fit in it just fine. Maybe a bit crowded but it's fine. We just drew pictures today of the weather (rainbows, thunderstorms, snow, sunny) to tape up to the windows for more imaginative play and they really enjoy it. Setting up was fairly quick. Took me and my husband about a half hour to put it together. We were a bit confused at first putting the canvas liners on but once we realized it goes on like a slip, it went smoothly after that. Highly recommended for little girls! It's more worth it for 1-2 year olds cuz they can fit in it better and they'll get to enjoy it longer. Wish my girls had this 3 years ago.Customer Review: Fell apart fast!

I bought this Cottage as a birthday gift for my 3-year old daughter. It was NOT EASY to assemble. You have to essentially "build" the frame with dozens of pipes and connectors then you have to pull the fabric cover pretty tight over the frame while zipping it up at the same time. Kind of annoying.
My high-energy daughter was quickly bored with it except for using it to hide in during tag. After some rowdy play in and around the Cottage with friends, half of it was eventually ruined. The connector pieces for the frame broke and the fabric lining collapsed. We had to toss it out in the trash. (The other half sits in the basement and no one seems remotely interested in playing in it.)
If you have a rough and tough, energetic kid, then this toy is definitely not for them. If you have a sweet, gentle kid who likes to sit quietly and play tea party with her dolls, then it is. (And as of this date, I saw the Cottage at Toys'R'Us for $15 on sale!)
Customer Review: I wish I had one of these when I was a little girl!

We purchased two of these, one for each of my nieces. They are both below the suggested age, but they both love playing in their cottages! I also have three little boys who had a lot of fun playing as well. Although it does seem pretty durable, it probably would not take alot of horseplay from my little guys, but the girls don't seem to want to try to climb on it... which is sort of what I picture my boys eventually trying if we had one in our house. We didn't have too much trouble putting the cottage together, but there were several of us working on it; and it went together very quickly, and no tools needed. Overall I would say it was a good purchase; I foresee my neices getting lots of use out of their cottages. And it's just as sweet as it can be! If they would come up with a not so frilly version - because my boys wouldn't want to actually own anything that was "ew gross" girly - I would buy one for my boys; but under the proper supervision of course!
