This is a really fun toy. I've watched our boys play with this for longer than they've played with any one other toy except a Game Boy. The target offers several modes for keeping score and it keeps me captivated too. All is not perfect, though. (1) The sensitivity of the target is good enough (what do you expect for less than $...) even though though the target sometimes does not seem to recognize a hit. (2) The gun is actually pretty powerful - the darts carry a pretty good load which is probably needed to ensure that the hits register on the target.The bottom line: This is a heck of a lot better than the other nerf gun products simply because the kids are shooting at a target rather than each other. Highly recommended.

Sweet gun. It's got a nice rough texture,and it fits nicely in my hand. Great distance, and it also holds to spare darts. I have 2; one in each hand is really cool. The target thing is pretty nifty. It talks and has 3 games on it. But I do not think I'll use it too often, maybe as something to knock over with all my nerf guns (I have 2 Rapid Fire 20s heheheeh) I notice that one of these small guns fires further than the other, so I exchanged it for a new tech set. The new one fires almost as far as the other tech gun I have. But just so you know, not all have the same range. A great one fires really far if shot at a 45 degree angle outside.Customer Review: even girls like it

My 6 year old daughter played (and played and played) with this toy at a boy's birthday party. The mom had drawn a target on their glass door and had a shooting range for prizes. She was the only girl but she loved the whole military-style playing. Normally she is very "girly" and demure and plays with ponies and Barbies, so was I ever surprised! She ran around with them covertly hiding seeking the opposing team, had fun loading the darts, loved watching the darts fly around the room, and had an all out blast. For this reason, I've been holding on until Christmas to get her one for herself!Customer Review: Good buy for the price.

This is a good toy. My 6 yr old son is fascinated with it. I wish it had a few more point scoring options, it only has 3. You can score 4 points, 8 points or 20 depending on their aim. I also wish it looked a little more sophisticated. Its plastic with paper over it, feels flimsy. I can lean it against things so he can shoot at it at different heights but its not meant to free-stand. It should be hung on a wall. The gun shoots well! Good sound effects and 3 game types. if you mod nerf guns you may have noticed that the airtech line is all remakes of old super maxx guns. well the new target tech is basicly hasbro's updated version of the classic Lock and load. Though it does have some qualitys of the bottom half of a defender t3, so do many of nerfs spring guns. if you give this gun a cpvc barrel or maybe nested brass it should rival a modded l'n'l. if you dont mod nerf guns, i still think you'll enjoy the target thing. its pretty fun. if you dont mod nerf guns and would like to give it a shot go to www.nerfhaven.com
