The book is supposed to open up ONLY with a secret password, but it opens up everytime when you push the button. It seems you have to reset it everytime for the "secret" password. I feel so bad because that was pretty high on my daughters wish list and she is a little disappointed as well.Customer Review: waste of money

My daughter wanted this for Christmas. She loved getting it, set her password right away, and had fun opening it with her voice. But then she realized that you can just pull the diary open manually -- it really doesn't lock. She was so disappointed that it really wasn't private at all.Customer Review: Fun diary

My 7 yr. old loves this toy. She loves diaries, and now her sister can't get into it, and gets a "growl" if she tries! It sometimes takes a few tries to understand the spoken password, but my daughter doesn't mind. She's had it a year now, and still plays with it all the time.Customer Review: Kind of disappointing

My 6 year old and I were quite disappointed with this toy. The whole gimmick for this toy is the password protecting dog-which rarely, if ever works. Had this worked, we would have rated it much higher and been happier. It was a low-light of our Christmas morning.Customer Review: doesn't work!

My daughter begged for this toy. I held off, mindful of the lousy reviews on Amazon, for almost 2 years. I finally broke down and bought it for her for Christmas. And the reviews were right - it doesn't work! The door will open for anyone, with any word. What a scam!
