Toys and Games Reviews of Hasbro Littlest Pet Shop Paws Off! Electronic DiaryCustomer Review: Frustrated Summary: 2 Stars
My 6 year old had this toy on her Christmas list and was very excited when she received it. Since that time, we have not been able to get the diary to recognize her voice despite many attempts. We used short one-syllable words with hard consonant sounds and it never would work. She and I were both about to scream by the end of our 20+ minutes trying. She is still glad to have it, but wishes it would work like the commercials say it does.
Customer Review: not sure I'd recommend: disappointing Summary: 1 Stars
My 8 year old BEGGED for this. She got it for Christmas. She was so excited to write her deepest feelings down and have them secret. Now all she has is a diary that her older brother and younger sister can get into since it doesn't work. We've tried NUMEROUS times to "reset". Different passwords, different batteries, nothing works. Seems like a waste of money. A pad and pencil could do the same since nothing is "secret".
Customer Review: Do Not Waste Your Time Summary: 1 Stars
The commercial for this toy is great. And I bought it, against my better judgement because my 7 year old niece REALLY REALLY wanted it! Less than a dozen sheets of paper... haven't been able to find refills. The guard is cute. The password is easy to get around. Her little brother is 5 and figured out that he could make any short word open it. I would pass on this purchase if I had to do it again.
Customer Review: LPS DISAPPOINTMENT!! :( Summary: 1 Stars
My 7yr old wanted this reallly bad for her birthday. I didn't really want her to have it, but we gave in. It was the biggest disappointment ever!! We bought it home, put brand new batteries in it & it didn't work. My husband & I tried to do her password for her & that didn't work either. We took it back to the store the same day we bought it. DON'T WASTE YOUR $25 on this piece of junk!
Customer Review: Big Christmas Disappointment Summary: 2 Stars
The password set easily, but then the diary opened automatically every time the "on" button was pushed...it never asked for the password -- no matter how many times we set the password and had it accepted. We finally returned it and got out money back, but my daughter was VERY disappointed.
