It isn't just this product where the prices are high. If you go the Hasbro site you will see that all the product prices are EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! I looked at "plastic food" and they were trying to sell it for over $50 dollars in some cases. Toys are a bad buy at Amazon plus the shipping is outrageous. I would suggest toys are something worth driving for if Amazon is the alternative.Customer Review: overpriced and not tasty

Yes my kids both like this (ages 3 and 5) but I have to say, it's too easy. Add a teaspoon of water? i mean, where is the learning in this? besides that, the finished product is inedible - in my opinion...although my kids both ate their's with no problem and seemed to enjoy it. this is very overpriced and i would never buy it again.Customer Review: easy bake oven and mixes

Santa brought my 4 1/2 year-old-daughter this "microwave" for Christmas and she was thrilled to make her very own cookies. They are a little small (especially if the child has EVER helped Mom, Grandma, etc bake), but the ability to do just about all of it without help is worth the small result.Customer Review: Overpriced: Make your own mixes at home

This box of mixes is overpriced. I just bought the same item at Toys R Us for $12.99. Also, you can find recipes on-line for making your own mixes. Much cheaper and then you know exactly what it is you are eating.
