Customer Review: best buy yet
Summary: 5 Stars

hey, im tyrisha and im 11! 1 week ago i turned 12 and i was hoping to get this item for my b-day but i was heart broken. i had 60 dollars from my b-day and decided to buy it and now i have no money left but thats not why im writing. im writing to tell you that this is the coolest item/game i have ever bought.

point of this game: you are trying to have the best life possible like be cool and have a cool boyfriend! get a dream room and job and get to shop all you want and be the girl you always wanted to be!

price: i got it for 55 dollars at target plus tax but you may get it at walmart for cheaper or you may buy from amazon and within 1 or 2 days it will come(my cousin ordered it from online)

is it educational: yes it is because you learn cool stuff in school and you learn to manage money!!!

what will my parents think of it: they will love it and may play it too while your in your real school and wont mind that you get a boyfriend because its not real and you dont do anything.

overall, this was a real cool game and i still play it even though its been like 6 days but im sure you will love it too and wont get bored after one week as you do for most games! hope i helped you make a good desicion on buying it or not buying it, but i hope you do buy it! bye

-tyrisha,now 12 ca days played with this: 7 days
hours played each day: 2 hours per day and 30 minutes at night
how many friends do i have in this game: more than 10. its a fast going game and i have one boyfriend and practaclly every outfit in the mall!
how much enjoyment have i had: 4 1/2
cool!

Customer Review: Best Toy I've ever gotten
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this toy when I was about 9, and worked pretty hard to get it in the first place. I did chores around the house, helped my mom do extra things, and saved all the money I earned to buy it. Little did I know that not only was I learning responsibility and hard work by trying to earn this toy, but that I was learning life long lessons to get an educational toy. This toy teaches kids the value of money by having your little person do chores and get a job (even though I never got 20 dollars for doing the dishes, or 25 dollars a day for a weekly newspaper route). I learned little small talk subjects for when I was talking to friends, like if they liked school, what was their favorite subject, etc. this made making friends more fun and easier, and now I have real life long friends. And I learned that hard work, even in the game, pays off. I got it out recently, now that I'm a bit older, and those childhood memories rushed back to me. I realized that the things that I was having the person do in dream life do, was what I could do in my own life. I could earn good grades, save up money to buy pretty dresses, and make friends. Unlike other virtual reality games that make you think that reality is a sad existence, it made me realize that my own real life, is my dream life. I hope that they will have games like this around when I have kids. The one thing that I had an issue with, was that some of the clothes that you could buy were quite scandalous, but other than that it's a great toy.

Customer Review: DreamLife
Summary: 4 Stars

Dreamlife is a fun, quiet game that kids of all ages can enjoy. Even though the target audience is 9-12, even teens enjoy this game. The graphics are o-k...not the best ever but they don't keep you from enjoying the game. The game does get repetitive after awhile, but it never gets old when you buy clothes. As far as the "dating" in the game goes, you can have guy friends and if you talk to a guy enough, he will have a heart by his name instead of a smiley face and at the dances he will ask you to dance with him. However they do not actually show you dance. Also, the game says you can have extracurricular activities. Whereas you do get to sign up for activities, you never get to see yourself performing them. You just click practice and a screen pops up and says you practiced and sometimes will say things like, "You made head cheerleader." or "You won the track meet," etc. This game is very fun for the first couple of days but then slowly loses excitement because it gets repetitive. But you get to shop, do hair and make-up, chores, talk to friends, etc. which keeps the game fun and highly addictive. The only education value is that you must do chores and save money to shop but you get paid a phenomenal amount of money for the simplest chores (unlike real life). But that makes the game all the more fun. I definitely recommend this game to girls of all ages.

Customer Review: It's addictive.....yet boring.
Summary: 3 Stars

I got this game Christmas 2005, and now, 9 months later, I still play it for hours! It's really fun to see how popular you can get, or how pretty you can look, or how much money you can make. It's also really fun to get to go to parties and dances, have crushes and get ribbons and awards for sports. I like getting stuff for my room on Dream Life, like a computer or a phone. However, some of the game is a bit boring and constant. If you talk to your friends, and say one thing to one friend, and that same thing to your other, that other friend says the exact same thing that you heard when you said it to your other friend.

Also, when you're at a party, you get excited because you spent like 600 dollars on a dress and want to wear it to a dance, everyone else looks the same that they do the whole game. The guys on the game say the same things that girls do. For instance,
I say to a boy," Amanda is planning one big birthday party."
He says, " Yah, she's even inviting boys!"
I call that a little weird. Also, there is the same people in every game that you play, and only on certain occasions to you meet a new looking person.

But, it is a really fun game to play and I recommend it to anyone who likes life related games. As for teens, I recommend Sims.

Customer Review: Good Game
Summary: 4 Stars

I got this game for my birthday, and i have to give it an over all score of 4 stars. You see, the title basically describes the game, you create your dream life. You design your girl and her best friend, and your room. Then you can explore the town. You have to go school every day and study for tests and do homework. The better you do in school, the cooler things your parents let you buy. There's the rec center were you can sign up for activies. And then there's the mall! There you can buy shoes, clothes, and things for your room.
I'll tell you, this game defantly has it's ups and downs. It's good things are that it teaches you how to save money, for the more you have, the cooler things you can buy. It also teaches you responsiblity, for to earn money you have to work (all though work in this game is just pushing a button). You also need to manage time, so that you can fit in studying, talking and shopping.
But, this game deffantly had some downs. You see, this game can get boring after a while, for you're always doing the same thing. Also, really, there isn't much to do. Really, the only thing you can do is shop. Sure that is really fun, but it's always the same clothes. You never get to see anything new.
This game is great for the preteen in the family.
