If you're into Scrabble and you want to play on the road (or the beach, or at the pool, etc.), get the travel version of the game. Inelegantly titled "Scrabble Game Folio," the item is much better than it sounds. It's Scrabble, just a little smaller, and easier to take with you. Plus, the tiles snap onto the board, so they won't move around if the board moves (say, while you lean over to reach for your pina colada).Customer Review: A GREAT little game!

This travel game surpassed all my expectations! It's small and compact making it easy to use ANYWHERE! The clip-on tiles are a real bonus! Other reviews said because of its size it's hard to read the board itself, and since my eyesight is not the best anymore, I was a little concerned about this, but I can see everything just fine! I highly recommend this travel game - even if you're not going to travel!Customer Review: Not so bad

This will work if you are an adult with lots of patience. If you like to move your letters around on your rack, this probably won't work for you. It could have been designed better, but it works for me. I didn't have problems with the letters popping out, but getting the letters off the board is a little slow going. I wouldn't but it for a young person, as they will soon lose patience if not the letters.Customer Review: Used a friend's, now want my own!

My friend bought one for our long plane flight to Hawaii. We played game after game after game. We drew a small crowd as we played beside the pool, and in the evening enjoyed a game on the lanai. I came home and ordered a Scrabble Folio for our camper. The tiles snapped onto the board and stayed in place without a problem. The game was perfect in size for the traveling scrabble addict.Customer Review: alternative

For those who like the idea of travel scrabble but have found this product lacking, I recommend the game UpWords. It does have slightly different rules, but is based on the same concept as Scrabble. The game board is plastic and will not bend, making it easy to pass around during play, and the tiles fit on the molded board securely so as not to slide and yet still be maneuverable.
