Customer Review: my daughter is going to the big race every day

I purchased this for my 5 year old daughter for christmas. Like most little girls she has big horse dreams, and since she is 5 they wont let me put her in riding lessons. The horse is now wearing a jacket and tied off to her bed while she is at kindergarden. She adores it, and thanks me for it every day. Every day is its birthday. each evening she brushes it before she goes to sleep. Oh and dont forget about the big race tomorrow. its so cute she even tries to ride it side saddle. I would reccommend this for any little girl who dreams of a horse. at first she didn't pay it much mind. but when she entered the room again and its head followed her movements and made noises to her she yelled " you remembered who i was". we love our butterscotch pony and i'm sure your child will too.Customer Review: Butterscotch Great, But Fix the Click First

After some fear and trembling, I bought Butterscotch for my six-year-old daughter. After carefully following the instructions for assembly (I strongly recommend completing asembly before the child sees the toy!) I tried the pony out. The loud clicking sound that many parents have complained about is a serious issue. I found a recommedation from a reviewer to remove the lower screw in the head assembly and move it to a higher place on the same side of the assembly. It worked like magic! The toy performs wonderfully and my daughter is enraptured. It has been worth the $250 I paid for it already in just a few days. The smiles on my child's face are priceless. Buy Butterscotch, but get on the internet and find the fix for the click before giving her to your child.

I just bought this pony tonight!! I saw it a couple of years ago when it first came out- and was totally amazed!! Only thing was-I didn't have a child small enough to enjoy it-only a 10 yr old son-who is now 15. To date, I have a 16 month old little girl and I AM SO EXCITED!!! not only am I able to still get one for her-and I can't believe they still make them-but it's only $100.00 WITH FREE SHIPPING!! are you kidding me?!! I read in one of the prior post that this is being discontinued- so I'm even more excited that I am able to get one for her. Though I don't plan on giving it to her this Christmas-(it's going to grandma's house for another year)-I am so glad I could get it for her now and have something really special already bought for next year!Customer Review: Not a reliable toy!

We got this for the Granddaughter last Christmas and it's never worked correctly. I had to keep it at the dance studio because my daughter in law was so afraid it would get broken the first day. The kids there have had a ball with it...WHEN it works, which isn't very often. Now something is VERY wrong with it, because instead of the loud noises it made before, it makes a HORRIBLE sound like a death rattle! This upset the children so much that we had to remove the batteries and tell eveyone that Butterscotch is SLEEPING. There is NO customer support from the manufactuer, so forget that! When it does work, it's great company, but when it doesn't, it's very sad! It's better for kiddos who UNDERSTAND it isn't real, the six to eight year old group!Customer Review: There are better rideable stuffed ponies out there!

WHY on earth would a child need all the electronics in this thing? My girls' grandmother has a sturdy, large stuffed pony that probably cost at least half what this does. That pony does everything this pony does AND MORE - WITHOUT batteries! It's called IMAGINATION, people!!! The very first time anything goes wrong or breaks with this pony, it's ruined. Grandma's pony has far fewer things that could go wrong with it, and probably could be repaired by anyone with an upholsterer's needle and a thimble. Do your child a favor - buy one like Grandma's, and spend the rest of the money on REAL trail rides, pony carousels, and hay rides. You and your child will have a lot more fun.
