Toys and Games Reviews of Fur Real Friends Biscuit My Lovin PupCustomer Review: Fun for all! Summary: 4 Stars
So Santa brought my daughter Biscuit for Christmas this year. This dog is tons of fun without the mess. Voice activated he sits, begs, shakes, lays and speaks and sniffs you. Sometimes he chews his bone. He only has gotten frozen once and we had to undo the battery case and reload the D batteries. He then worked just fine. This dog is quite large so make sure you have a space for him to lay down at night and sleep. Oh he sleeps too if you don't give him attention for a while or if it gets dark. It is really cool!! He wakes with a pet or clap of hands. I am sure he will be a fun toy for a while around here. This toy does not walk and probably would not bear much weight if your smaller child tried to sit on it so keep that in mind when purchasing.
Customer Review: Not as good as I expected Summary: 3 Stars
Firstly, the current price of $[...] is WAY more than I paid or would be willing to pay for this toy. My two boys loved Biscuit when they received it last Christmas and still pull it out occasionally to play, however 11 months on it is rather worse for wear (it is very noisy and clunky when it moves) and it spends 99% of its time hogging the corner of their bedroom. They are not at all fooled that it is a replacement for a real dog and so we still have to go through the "can I have a dog" conversations that I had hoped would be reduced. At the right price it is a nice toy to give a careful child but in general I would say it is not worth the cost.
Customer Review: Cute Toy---Daughter loves him Summary: 4 Stars
Very cute toy that my 7 year old daughter loves (actually my 4 and 2 year old love him as well). If your child loves dogs this is a great gift. Only a few complaints that I notice, but my daughter doesn't care. He doesn't listen right away to the commands and sometimes not at all, but neither does our real dog so maybe it's more realistic. Also, mechanical noises are a bit loud when he moves, but not as bad as other reviewers have stated. It's only been about 3 days since we got the toy, but these are the only complaints I have and my daughter could care less about any of it. She loves him and brings him everywhere she goes.
Customer Review: IMPORTANT WARNING!!!! Summary: 4 Stars
My niece requested Biscuit, her dream toy, from Santa (already asked about him in person and sent an e-mail), and the order was put in via Amazon, who very promptly shipped him to our house- in his store box, which shows him clearly on the front!!! I assumed he would be in an amazon box, but I guess since he's so big, they just use his box. So our christmas surprise was ruined, since my niece arrived home with me and saw it at the same time, and said "Wow. Santa screwed up."
SO great, fun toy - BAD SHIPPING! it has the potential to ruin your skeptics out there!!! Be careful and have it shipped elsewhere!
Customer Review: Good toy for dog-loving child, but wouldn't have paid full price Summary: 5 Stars
My 9-year-old daughter rates this 4 stars. In her words it's "not as good as S'mores" (the furreal pony), but she says it is still a great toy. Very sensitive and responsive, so it responds when you pet it, and does fairly well at obeying a few commands (lie down, sit up and beg, give a paw). The batteries are steep (6 D) but seem to last a fair amount of time. I would not have paid full price for this toy, but when we found it for $40 at the thrift store, it was a no-brainer, and we have not regretted getting it.
