I fell in love with this game ever since I saw my parents and their friends playing it at a New Years Eve party. The game is great for both kids and adults. There's even a 'Family' category, which gives easier words to guess. No matter how old you are, you're bound to love it!The only annoying thing about it is the sound, which you can't turn off or down. But if you lay it flat on the table or put your hand over the speaker while you play, then it's more than bearable.
Probably the best thing about this game is that you can bring it anywhere. It's just one little electronic game. No cards, game pieces, or anything else.
I would definitely recommend it for everyone!

Whenever my family gets together at my house for dinner, this is the game everyone wants to play. It is a blast, very fast paced. It is kind of like the game hot potato we all played as kids. Don't get caught with it in your hand when the buzzer goes off or the other team gains a point.It usually is just one word you are trying to get your team members to guess and you can do just about anything to get them to guess it. For example if the word is pencil and one happens to be laying on the table, you can pick it up and say, " what is this?" You just can't say, "it rhymes with" or "it is opposite of" other than that, go for it.
It is so much fun for young and old!

We bring this game where-ever we go. We even gave one to my sister-in-law. All of us adult cousins will play once the kids are in bed. We even got my mother-in-law in one game. And she loved it. Some questions test your knowledge. Others are real simple. Sometimes we rhym especially if we can't think of anything else. The one I remember: answer was Long Johns - our Rhym was Slong Bongs. We still laugh over that clue! This is one gift we always give for Wedding Showers and Birthdays. The electronic version is so much better than the other cause all you have is one piece - very portable and packable. I guarantee you'll love it. The original version of this game was a 10 star excellent game, and this version is still excellent, but maybe only a 6 star. The game still can be fast and fun for old and young, cold of winter or hot of summer, sober or intoxcated. It is an instant party. My only problem is occasionally it will repeat words played earlier in the same circle, and you have to handle it much more carefully than the original paper version secondary to batteries and electronics. So if you have a very excitable friend, then the older version is recommended. I preferr the paper version, but if you can not find that, then get this, you will not be dissapointed. I bought this game for my friends and I because we have already gone through all the words in Taboo about 10 times. I actually played the first time with my family over the holidays and they loved it. There are minimal rules and it is quick moving and fun for all.
Next I played with my friends and again we really enjoyed the game. The problem with us is that we get addicted to things and don't know when to stop, and as a result we started to repeat words by the end of the night. I mean this was several hours in a row of playing. I guess no game has enough words to keep us going, but for the average person you most likely will have no problem.
