Customer Review: Better than hot potato...

This game is almost like an updated version of hot potato. The little screen on the game gives a phrase and you have to try to get your team mates to guess what it is without saying the word or saying words that rhyme with it.
This game is a lot of fun for those on the spot game nights and you can play with a good number of people. Even if there is an odd number of players we always make a swing player that switches teams. The only problem is that there are not enough words in the directory. Even after a couple nights of play you start coming across the same words so its much easier to guess. Despite knowing half the words in the game directory it's still a lot of fun and there are a lot of catagories to choose from that everyone can guess from.

While this game was fun, it wasn't nearly challenging enough. The clues were simple to act and speak out. There aren't enough clues per category either. We were out of clues after playing for about 30 minutes for some categories. I bought this game from Target on sale for $23 and it was definitely NOT worth it! I'm just glad that I didn't pay the $40 plus dollars that it normally cost. I thought there had to be some mistake, but sure enough, we were out of clues and the clues that we did have for other categories were repetitive. For example, the word "anti" kept popping up over and over. "anti-virus, anitseptic, antibiotic, antidote". There were many other clues that were similar. Maybe the board game is better, but we didn't find this challenging enough.Customer Review: The best game EVER!

We were introduced to Catch Phrase at a family reunion two years ago using the board and disc version. We stayed up until or past midnight every night of the reunion playing this game and having a great time! Now, I have both electronic versions and my family and friends cannot play this game enough! It truly is the greatest game ever made! I am going to buy the board version too, because it offers some things that the electronic does not have (such as ease of score keeping!).
We all enjoy this game so much that we don't keep track of scores! In fact, because keeping score can be a bit confusing and takes time (with the electronic version), not keeping score is more fun!
Buy this game - you and your friends will NOT be disappointed!!!
Customer Review: Drinking Games!

Ok, so maybe we aren't using this toy in the most conventional sense, but it's still a lot of fun for us. We play drinking (i.e. alcoholic beverages) games with this little toy to test out our verbal description skills. It's a kinda boring at first until teams start losing and have to take shots or whatever we have going. Then is just devolves into a good time as people get frustrated with either someone inability to describe something or inability to guess correctly. For us, that's where the real fun comes in - the insults and debauchery.
Would kids find this thing fun? Couldn't tell ya.... but for adults who refuse to grow up and drink responsibly, this game is a good way to get the night going.

One time my friend and I slept over another girl's house. At first we were all kind of bored and then my friend remembered about the game her mom got her(catch phrase). We decided to play it and asked her younger brother to join in. It was the funnest game i've ever played before! Everyone was saying crazy funny things. we stayed up well into the night and played it. We all became addicted. The next morning the first thing all of us wanted to do when we woke up was to play catch phrase. Now whenever I sleep over my friends house you will always be able to find us playing catch phrase! This game is sure to entertain everyone at parties, sleepovers, and everyday. I reccomend this game to people of all ages!
