Toys and Games Reviews of Cranium HullabalooCustomer Review: My favorite game for pre-schoolers and Kind. Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this game for my son's 5th birthday and he and his 7 year-old brother play endlessly. It includes some education for young players (ID shapes, colors and themes). The game gives verbal instructions which makes it a blast for early or pre-readers. There are no tiny game pieces for younger siblings to eat or lose. Also, it lets the kids move around and be silly without driving me crazy. It is one of the few games that I own that will keep my boys (and half the neighborhood) entertained with almost no involvement on my part. If the kids get too loud or crazy, they can't hear the next instruction - which generally keeps them focused. My only suggestion would be a volume control for the player to allow for a quiet 2-person game or a loud group, but overall this game is as good as it gets in my book.
Customer Review: Kid's Seal of Approval--Often off the game shelf and on the floor! Summary: 5 Stars
The way you can tell the favorite games and toys in my house is that I'm stepping or tripping on them- that means they're getting lots of play time! My 4 & 6 year olds (1 boy 1 girl) love this game, and yes I am often reminding them to clean it up- and they do, but not for long. Often- as it is with great irresistible games-- they begin playing again as they are trying to clean it up. Great game for a rainy day- gets lots of energy out in a confined space (yes my kids have even played in our hallway) and works on their listening skills. I think this is a great game for the preschool up to maybe 1st or 2nd grade. This game is also great in that after the initial learning-how-to-play with a grown-up little adult participation is required (although you may want to join in as it sounds like sooo much fun)!
Customer Review: Lots of fun for the whole family! Summary: 5 Stars
This game is great for young kids and parents alike. I have a 5 year old and 4 year old twins and sometimes it's exhausting trying to keep a board game going and managing turns and dealing with sore losers. Hullabaloo is a fun game the kids can get up and play. Set-up is easy, just toss the pads around the floor and turn the game on. After that, the game issues instructions and the kids follow along until it picks a winning pad. If you are on the pad, you win. Each round is over very quickly and the next round starts right away giving someone else a chance to win. The kids can play on their own but more often than not I join in just for the fun of it. There are two levels so if you get bored with one you can switch it up. This game is totally worth it, it has made my whole family happy!
Customer Review: A VERY FUN GAME! Summary: 5 Stars
We recieved this as a gift three years ago. This game still gets played at least 3/4 times a month. It's a combination between twister and Simon Says that teaches color and object recognition. To begin, you lay down all the mats, that are made of a strong but flexy plastic. Then you push down the big red button on the main unit and the fun begins! The main unit will give you directions on what to do next. The voice is very loud and clear, and there is even a button to control the volume high or low. Kids and Adults will enjoy playing this game together. My son's even like to play by themselves. The winner of the game is the person who is standing on the mat that is called out by the machine. This product delivers exactly what it says it does and will last for many years!
Customer Review: Hullabaloo ...alotafun Summary: 5 Stars
After playing this game with my grand-daughter, who received it as a gift, I have decided to send it to my other grandchildren. She loved the music and the pace of the game. I loved the fact that it involves physical activity while being playable indoors. I don't like to see young children parked in front of a television. This game will encourage them to get up and move. It's exciting without involving the kind of competition that can cause fights. I was also very impressed by the durability of the plastic player. This is not a toy that will be played with and broken within a few days. Most of all, I love the fact that a three year old could play it with a grandmother and both could be entertained. I'm sure my other grandchildren will love it as well.
