Customer Review: Great toy
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm not sure why anyone would give this toy a negative review unless they just got a faulty product. I bought this for my son's 7th birthday and he LOVES it, and so do his friends, aged 5 through 55. The battery compartment was simple to find - Common sense would tell you that the square surrounding the 'on' button with two deep holes in it is a battery compartment, not to mention the directions tell you where it is - and it was extremely easy to figure out how to play the 4 games. I love playing the game with the kids; it's great for a laugh and the kids cogs are always turning trying to figure out the next move. If the ball is dropped too hard, the batteries will move a little and we've had the ball shut off a few times, but overall the ball performs very well. We've had a great time with it. When my son is by himself he likes to put one colored band on each hand and play catch with himself, he thinks it's hilarious! I would recommend this toy to anyone, and think it's unfortunate that some people have had such a hard time with it. I think it's great!

First, I am relieved I am not the only one who had issues getting to the battery compartment. As a father of two children, I've inserted batteries into every toy imaginable---but this was ridiculous. I have pretty much every type/size screw driver available. Because I could not see the head of the screw, I checked the instructions and all it had was a picture of a Philips head, so of course I used a standard #2 Philips. Within seconds I stripped the head of the screw. A note in the instructions stating that precision screw driver was required would have been helpful. This is a MAJOR flaw of the toy.

I was eventually able to get it off, and I'm glad I did as the toy is a lot of fun. I was skeptical as to how well the system would read the hand pads, but it is incredibly sensitive and captures/records players catches with ease. This game is much like Hyperslide meets Hot Potato. While we've only played it a few times, the entire family has thoroughly enjoyed the game. However, I not looking forward to having to replace the batteries on this.

Customer Review: Lots of fun when you get it right!

My 8 year old got this for Christmas. My husband tried to set it up, but couldn't find the battery compartment or any directions. I read the package, which tells you where the directions are, between the cardboard in the package. We found the battery compartment and got it going. The family went outside to play it and had a great time. Even Grandma got involved! But we noticed the button wasn't working correctly when pushed. It wouldn't turn off or switch between levels. When we went inside, I tried new batteries, but the ball wouldn't come back on at all after that. So I called Hasbro, who worked with me on the phone to try different things. When none of those worked, they shipped us a new ball. Easy as that! The new one is a lot of fun and has held up well. My kids love it! It's the perfect size to keep in the car for when you're going to the park, or visiting a place that may be boring to the kids. We took it on vacation with us a few weeks ago, just in case the opportunity came up to use it. It gets the kids moving and it's fun!

My son got this for his birthday. His Uncle bought it for him and I thought it looked like a great concept. It took me a good 30 minutes to open the battery compartment which was frustrating since all the boys at the party wanted to try out the toy. There has been alot of tv ads on and my son was the first kid to get this. The boys played with it the afternoon of the party. the next day my son was just playing toss with it with his 3 year old sister and it started to just shut off. I tried opening the battery compartment, which again took at least 30 minutes and even putting new batteries it still keep shutting off. By day 2 The toy would not even turn on. Of course with all the birthday party clean up the box was thrown out so we could not even return it.
I like the idea of the toy, any toy that gets kids outside inside of in front of the video games but this toy just isn't quality. I suggest if you do decide to purchase this open the plastic and put the batteries in for your child before you wrap it.

Customer Review: Great Toy!

My seven year old and her friends love this! Her dad and I even enjoy playing this with her. ( I originally bought this because I wanted a game to play with my daughter that my husband and I would enjoy playing also.)
It has four game modes. (Fast Pass, Code Challenge, Add One, Your Out) We've never bothered to read the directions, so we haven't figured out two of the games yet (Code Challenge & Add One). It doesn't mattter though because we have so much fun playing Fast Pass & Your Out.

The battery compartment was a little difficult to get to (it's under a thick padding of foam). It's great that the battery compartment is padded though, because it could be dangerous throwing around if it was hard. I haven't had any trouble with the batteries jostling around. I really don't see how that the batteries could do that, if the screws are fully screwed in.

I would highly recommend. Kids and adults both love it.
