Toys and Games Reviews of Connect Four

Customer Review: A good game for 1-2 people
Summary: 5 Stars

I don't know why the manufactur's age for this game is 7-14. This is a fun game for all. But like Guess who, I'm confused on whether or not this game is either educational or durable. But if you love games I reccomend this. I would reccomend this if the wheather is not nice, and you or your kids are stuck in the house with nothing to do. Here is how you play this game, you and another person drop pieces in the thing you see above, and the person who is Connect Four (in any way) is the winner. The game's pieces are red and black. I guess you can also play this game by yourself. But I'm sure you would have more fun by playing this game against somebody else. But it is always nice when you are the winner.

Customer Review: Fun even for adults
Summary: 4 Stars

The ultimate toy, even for adults. For those who don't know, Connect Four is a game of skill; the object being to connect four pieces in a row, diagonally, horizontal or vertical.
This game is good for younger people because it teaches them to think, to anticipate their opponents next moves and observation so that a checker won't be slid a prime spot.
This game is good for adults because it brings back somany memories.
Either I'm getting stronger or the material is getting weaker because the version that my niece has seems to be very fragile and the legs are either stuck or hard to get on. Otherwise a good buy and guaranteed a few hours of fun.

Customer Review: Connected more than four!
Summary: 4 Stars

I had this game as a child and purchased it for my oldest when she was young. Last fall, my best friend from Sweden came to visit me and brought her two daughters, ages 12 and 10. One evening, when we decided to take it easy and stay home, I remembered this game was still in my daughter's room. I brought it out and suddenly the kids were playing and having a great time, no matter that mine speak very little Swedish and hers spoke very little English....they had a wonderful time and were soon teaching each other new words and making up silly rules for the game. I even play a version of this on my computer, it's very relaxing yet it keeps the mind thinking!

Customer Review: LOTS of fun, but doesn't hold together well
Summary: 4 Stars

This is such a fun, wonderful game, one of our favorites for family game night. It's helped teach my son (just turned three) about matching colors, waiting for his turn, etc. I love that it's a fun game that does not require batteries or drive us all crazy with overwhelming music/sounds like some kids games do. My only complaint is that the "legs" that hold the frame up do not tend to stay on. If someone bumps it, it will occasionally fall over and come apart during a game, which is frustrating. It seems like the pegs that hold the legs on were not all that well made. Stil a great game though!

Customer Review: Fun For Generations to Come
Summary: 4 Stars

I'm 35 years old and fondly remember playing this game with my sisters. I purchased this recently on Amazon so I can recapture glory with my own children. the game is a take on the classic Tic-Tac-Toe game, with the spin being that you need to get four black/red chips in a row. Its fun to watch my children try and think a few steps ahead to ensure they don't get smoked by dad while also trying to set themselves up to win. While not quite chess, this is a great starting game for 5-7 year olds who've outgrown Candyland but aren't quite ready for Boggle. Good in 30 minute increments.
