Toys and Games Reviews of Clue Harry Potter

Customer Review: Age appropriate level may need to be higher
Summary: 3 Stars

I purchased this for my niece for Christmas. She's only 8 and the age starts at 9 but she's quite intelligent however, the difficulty of comprehension for that age is a few years off compared to a regular CLUE game. Her 18 and 20 year old cousins sat with her at Christmas and it took the three of them almost an hour and a half to comprehend the concept before they could actually play the game. They said it was fun once you got it down but said if they had to try to explain the rules to someone else it would take just as long to get through before game play could actually begin. Takes a lot of the fun out of it.

Customer Review: Surprisingly fun!
Summary: 4 Stars

We got this a few days ago. It's really fun! The new twists on the game like the shifting "secret passages" and doors into rooms are very cool. You can tell that a lot of thought went into adapting Clue to some of the unique features of Harry Potter's world. I was surprised at how much my computer-savvy teenager enjoyed this low-tech game. It was a nice way for us to interact. The directions are a little confusing at first; you have to read them through a couple of times. But I thought this was much more fun and interesting than what I remember of the original game of Clue from my own childhood.

Customer Review: Great Family Fun
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great way to play Clue. There are enhancements to the regular game, specialized to the "magical" world, such as the secret passageways that open and close or change. Plus, you can collect and lose house points, and if you lose them all before the game is solved, you're out of it. One of my kids is a huge Harry Potter fan, as am I, but the whole family enjoyed playing this game together. And what I like most about it is that you aren't solving a murder, rather a mystery of a missing student. Much more child friendly that way.

Customer Review: Great for ALL ages!!
Summary: 5 Stars

So, I'm a college student. I bought this game mostly because I love board games, and secondly because I love Harry Potter. Needless to say, I convinced several of my college age friends to play and we couldn't get enough!! Several of my friends aren't even Harry Potter fans, but they love the game anyway. The changing corridors as well as the ally and magic cards add a new level of difficulty and interest. These new additions keep the game interesting for hours and hours!! They make it hard to get bored!!! :) Definitely work every penny!!

Customer Review: Clue:The Harry Potter Way
Summary: 5 Stars

We opened this early Christmas week. College kids home and game night took place in front of fire. We loved it because even though you might know who caused a disappearance of a main character, where it happened, and how it was done you may never get the chance because of the dark mark! It causes you to lose house points. So you might be out of the game when your house points are gone! The room entry doors are sealed at different times. Same rules as the other Clue game, but added tweeks(Dark Mark and spells)make this game really fun.
