Customer Review: Good stealthy pea shooter for less thatn $10

Compared to all other nerf weaponry out there it's no wonder the "noisy cricket" as my office mates call it gets a lousy to average 3 stars. However price point has to be a consideration... So I give it a solid 4 stars, especially considering it fires further than some other larger guns out there. I work in cube land part of an Ops team adjacent to another ops teams and it's definitely a weapons free zone as there are battles ranging throughout the day. But these guys have some massive nerf weapons that are $40 on up. So while I'm getting bombed by automatic & semi automatic weapons I'm hunkered down there with my little pea shooter going "pump pump pump pump... Pitchu! Pump pump pump pump... Pitchu!" You get the idea. So there's no way you can compare this to other nerf guns, it's just not fair... But granted this thing is also under $10 as well. Now if one wanted to spend $50, you'd obviously get a BFG instead unless you were getting guns for 6 people, so putting all things into perspective it's a nice little gun given its price point and stealth factor.
More about the gun itself, obviously it's a single shot multi pump action. One pump shoots it about 3 feet, 2 pumps about 8-10 feet, pumped to the max 7-8 pumps I can hit the guy 40 feet from me if I aim up and take the arc into account. If you over pump it at some point you can hear the excess air getting released, so there's some sort of safety built in to the pumper to prevent overloads. Given the trigger is on top, shooting it sideways "gangsta style" you'll be more accurate. However this is not a weapon you would hit small targets with (unlike some nerf guns with scopes and such), typically you're aiming at people within 20 feet, so it's fine for that. It comes with two darts which are the same mini darts all other nerf guns use, but obviously you'll need to buy some spares.
Overall for its price point you can't really go wrong, however if you're in a firing range cube area like I am with others sporting massive nerf weapons, you're going to be sorely outgunned. But then again you can pump up this guy quietly, hide it in a pocket or pretty much conceal it in your hand, walk up to someone, pot shot them in the kisser and run for cover while you feverishly reload and pump like a mad man. No other nerf gun I've seen is pocketable. This gun is obviously good for little kids too, although my 7 & 9 year girls did have a little trouble pumping it up to the max. All in all a fun little toy
