Toys and Games Reviews of The Game of Life Twists & TurnsCustomer Review: We paid too much.........should have been wiser! Summary: 4 Stars
Overall we really are enjoying this game. The first time was a bit difficult, but we just kept the instructions near by! The real complaint is that we bought it here and now I see the game advertised everywhere at a third of the price we paid ( if you include the s and h). Our own stupidity but my daughter really wanted the we had just waited until the day after Christmas she would have been just as happy and I would have been about $40 richer.
Customer Review: Exceptional Upgrade to an Old Favorite Summary: 5 Stars
This version of Life is a fantastic upgrade to the old, manual version. My 11-year old daughter loves the game especially because of the credit card use! She has already learned how some choices can impact our lives forever; for good or for bad. I have also truly enjoyed the game; we've played almost every day since Christmas. You can choose the length of the game, change occupations, change routes all adding up to a different game each time you play. I highly recommend it!
Customer Review: Not so Great, Boring! Summary: 1 Stars
My kids hated this game! This game took all the fun out of the original game of life! You have no money or anything in front of you. The lifepod calculates everything and players really don't feel very involved in the game. At the end of the designated number of turns, the Lifepod erases all money and assets and calculates everyone into lifepoints. And then someone wins but they don't really know why! I do not recommend this game stick to the original it is 100% more fun!
Customer Review: Fun Game that Teaches Kids about Money! Summary: 5 Stars
I really enjoy playing this game with my kids. To be honest it can get addicting, as we can play for hours. I am not sure about the debit card when it comes to spending. When you have cash you think more before you purchase something. I do like how the debit card adds everything up for you so you know the values of your net worth. Overall I think it is a wonderful game and you will have fun playing with your kids and that is what matters in the end.
Customer Review: Worth the price so far Summary: 4 Stars
I couldn't give it 5 stars just yet as we've only had it 24 hours. So far it has been a lot of fun for all ages. Our 9, 15 & 18 year olds have played it alongside some adults and all have enjoyed it as much. Actually our 9 year old has won the most times! Frankly it is more fun and challenging than the original game. This one makes you think and budget more. I hope the electronic piece doesn't wear out from too much use - only time will tell.
