Customer Review: They finally designed a portable Scrabble Game that makes sense

My previous portable Scrabble game was a nuisance. The tiles popped our of their places. I had always thought they should reissue the magnetic version. Now they've finally come out with a winner. Although this edition is compact, it is not small. However, its features make up for its size. Two spacious drawers provide storage (no scorepad is provided). The ridges around the squares keep the tiles in place. In addition, the board turns on wheels. They even curved the racks for added privacy. The case folds and has a handle for easy carrying. I own a Scrabble game from the 1950's that originally belonged to my parents. However, after over 50 years of gameplay it was time for a new one. Diamond Anniversary Edition fits the bill. If you have only played with the basic cardboard sets, you're in for a treat. I love the easy-spinning gameboard. Unlike the old turntable editions, the wheels are built into the gameboard. The dark-colored tiles are cool too. My only suggestions for improvement: make the tile racks out of thicker plastic, and add an extra storage compartment for a dictionary.Customer Review: Wonderful Version of Scrabble!

This is a wonderful version of Scrabble for the regular player. I love how easy it is to keep all the pieces together with the game. I got this when it was $[...] which I thought was an awesome bargain. My husband and I enjoy playing this game together every now and then as it is a chance to spend time together and it is intellectual as well. As far as the board colors, in my personal opinion, unless you are an avid Scrabble player this is not really a big deal at all. I will defiantly considering purchasing this again as a gift for friends!Customer Review: Great game for a good value

We bought this game at Walmart for $35. I wanted a board that swivels. This one has little rubber rollers on the bottom. It turns just fine. There is nothing special about the diamond edition except that the tiles are black and the blanks have a little diamond art on them. My only complaint is that the storage spaces are a tad small, especially for the instructions and the tile bag. However, it is much better than using a box. We love how this board is so compact and that we could take it traveling. Great product! I would buy it again!Customer Review: Diamond Scrabble

This edition is great for portability and convienience. The suitcase is sturdy, open it up and you are playing immediately. If you like the original Scrabble board colors you will find them a bit different. The curved tile racks are a great idea but are very cheap and lightweight, I am switching them out for wood. The tiles seem to be of a cheaper wood, some are poorly stamped, black paint is used to try to cover cheap wood.
I would have spent a few dollars more for a better product, but all in all its a great edition, I will keep it.
