Customer Review: FANTASTIC design, very functional big improvement on original

The old board was easily upset, sending tiles flying. The little wood holders were also
not so great. The new design is so functional, the swivel board is perfect! I can't imagine
how we played in the past without being able to swivel the words around and the tiles stay put.
Excellent!!
We are not expert players but thoroughly enjoyed using this game for the whole family. My only teeny
comment....the instruction booklet has a list of two letter words (seriously? Some really seem made up but
I trust you scrabbler experts) and it became a bit of a cheat sheet when everyone ran out of tiles.
The ability to store all the pieces in the little drawers under the board makes me want to give it six stars.
Kudos on the redesign!

My family has always been a Scrabble family so I purchased three sets as gifts for Christmas this year to upgrade the boards they've been using for the past 25 years. Everyone loved them. From the compartments under the board for storage to the wheels on the bottom of the board, everything is wonderful. Someone in a previous review had complained about the triple and double word squares being different colors than the original set which is true but did not detract from the enjoyment of this game whatsoever. I personally love the brackets around each square as I'm sure anyone who's played this game before has had an incident where the board gets bumped and letters shift everywhere - not anymore! I would highly recommend this set to any Scrabble fanatic.Customer Review: best travel scrabble board yet

My family and I are big scrabble players but we have been unhappy with the last three travel scrabble sets that have produced on the market. When someone lent this set to my aunt who was in a rehab facility, we were delighted with it. It is the prefect set for travel.The one big issue that everyone has with this set is that they changed the colors of the word scores on the board. We now have to look closely to see if we are on a triple letter or triple word score. So seasoned scrabble players won't like this board for that very reason. Other than the change in color, the board is light weight, easy to pack up and travel with, the letters stay in place even in the wind (we play on the beach) and the board turns nicely. All in all it is a good set.

After teaching for 34 years my husband and I sought silence and time to read books not associated with teaching. But we missed challenges, fun with words, and open displays of our "mental acuity". The minor aphasia and word-retrieval speed associated with aging were also of concern. One solution: NY Times crossword puzzles -- fun for one. How to have language fun for more than one? --- Scrabble!! I had forgotten how much fun it could be, and it's a great mental exercise as well. I highly recommend this particular game set because it rotates for each person to see the words on the board properly, it keeps all of the pieces in nice little drawers, and the individual depressions to hold each letter in place are extremely helpful.Customer Review: GREAT

I have to say, I am really impressed with this game. It's the same old scrabble, so if you like scrabble, you are all set. What's amazing about it is this packaging. It is so well planned and engineered, it's almost a guarantee that: 1. It plays perfectly, spinning gently for each player to view right side up, with pieces settled in their own little resting places so they don't "fling" off 2. It actually gets put away correctly into its ample, sliding holding compartments 3. because it's put away right, into a solid, folding box of plastic to hold everything, you wont have a "box" game that kids trashed, half the pieces feel out of, and goes in the garbage 5 months later. I'll be playing this game with the grandkids!
