The rubik's 4x4 cubes are perfect for someone who loves the original. It requires a whole different way of thinking to solve it. The Rubik's Revenge cubes are undoubtedly difficult, but with time and practice they become just like the 3x3. At first they seem impossible, but after learning the techniques, anyone can do it. You can also use this cube as a 2x2, when it is in its solved position. When I got my Rubik's Revenge, it turned EXTREMELY smoothly, didn't lock up at all, and was very maneuverable. However, I have a friend who also got one, but his was really stiff from the beginning. The Rubik's Revenge is pretty durable, but sometimes edge pieces will pop out if it locks up too quickly. This has only happened to me two or three times though, over the 7 months I've had my cube.Customer Review: Fun toy, terrble quality!

I've had this cube for about a month now and use it on a regular basis. At first I thought it was a little tough to turn because it was brand new so I kept using it hoping it would eventually wear in. Unfortunately it has not gotten any easier at all. I am constantly struggling to do the most basic moves and peices pop out on a regular basis. It is very frustrating to use this cube. Even though it still works I am most likely going to replace it with a different brand. I don't know if Hasbro just makes poor quality because I bought the 5x5 cube from "Winning Moves" and it is great. My 5x5 moves much easier than this 4x4. I would strongly recommend getting a different brand of 4x4 cube before buying this one. You will not be satified with this.Customer Review: Great 4x4 Rubik's Cube.....

I purchased this 4x4 Rubik's Revenge cube from Hashbro (or Winning Moves) for $7+S&H!!! It was very cheap, and I was very pleased to see the price to up to $13 the next day. My order came on December 20th - 4 days earlier than expected. It is very fun and addicting, you get all these different puzzles, but there is only one solution. I have mastered lining up the centers, but now I have to match the edges. No worries, that will only take me a couple of days. In my opinion, this cube loses to the original 3x3 by just a couple of points. It's a must-have for any puzzle enthusiast! Overall, the Rubik's Revenge cube is a great puzzle, creating all kinds of challenges.Customer Review: Go with this 4X4!!!

I have owned this 4x4 since Christmas and it has been absolutly amazing and much better than what I have heard about the Winnng Moves 4x4. It moves smoothly and doesn't lock up and I haven't had any problems with the stickers falling off. It feels very durable and heavy in your hands.
I can solve the 3x3 in about a minute and found this a much harder challenge that makes my 3x3 feel childish in comparison. I would recommend this to any cube enhusiast or just anybody looking for a challenge, though I would recommend the 3x3 first.

My 12 year old son had mastered the standard 3x3 version long ago. His time at Summer Camp was coming to a close and I was concerned that he would spend his time glued to Guitar Hero, his Nintendo DS or the computer. I wanted something else to engage him. I purchased both the 4x4 and the 5x5 versions of the Rubik's cube. It is a month and a half later and he still is working at the 4x4. It has really engaged him. We also learned that he might be able to use this for this year's science fair project; using math or algorhytms to solve Rubik's cube. Great toy! Good educational link to math and spatial relations.
