Risk by Hasbro Games
Toys and Games Reviews of RiskCustomer Review: 12 year old boy loves it Summary: 4 Stars
My son turned 12 recently and wanted the Risk game. I can tell he enjoys it by:
1. Taking it to school for a Friday "Game Day".
2. His friends at school all wanted to play it.
3. He has it set up on the floor of his room-ready to go.
4. He chooses to play Risk instead of watching TV!
Customer Review: A classic Summary: 5 Stars
Simply said, I have always love this classic game. Like chesss, it teaches strategy and critical thinking. It is not for everyone, but for those who like strategy games, it is fairly simple to learn and never gets old. On top of everything else, it teaches some basic geography. Give it a try.
Customer Review: Good but not what I expected Summary: 3 Stars
I thought this would be the regular version of risk. I was excited at how affordable it was. However, be aware that it is not exactly the same. It is an updated version of risk and even though it is very similar, the pieces are just arrows which is kind of weird. Other than that risk is great!
Customer Review: New Risk, Great for fast play Summary: 5 Stars
The changes make the game a faster playing game. I enjoyed it, but it is different then regular Risk (which you can still play) in that there is less strategy involved. The goals of the game can be achieved in as few as three turns.
It's a fun change of pace.
Customer Review: Still a classic Summary: 4 Stars
There are some major and minor changes to the rules in this edition, but gameplay is still basically the same, and you can still play under the old rules if you wish. Hours of fun if you can get 3 or 4 together willing to put in the time to play the game correctly.
