Toys and Games Reviews of Risk

Customer Review: This game made me a risk fan
Summary: 5 Stars

I must admit I never played much of the original risk. Most of the time when we tried to play we'd start, and quickly lose interest. I recently played this new version with a group of friends including a self proclaimed "Risk super fan". All of us had a great time with the new rules. In the end we had a close game (I lost 3 objectives to 2) that took about an hour to play including learning all the new rules and setting up the board.

I would say this is a must own for any board game fans out there.

Customer Review: Worth it
Summary: 5 Stars

Ordered this game to play with a few friends of mine, I have played Risk for years and I love the game, just didnt have my own yet so I figured Id buy it. I liked everything about it, the pieces, the board, the cards. Although there were a couple debates that my friends and I got into that the Rule Book did not settle so if I had anything negative to say on this review it would be that the Rule Book isnt very specific. Otherwise if you like the game of Risk BUY IT. If you have never played it before TRY IT.

Customer Review: Good Variation of a Classic Game
Summary: 4 Stars

I played Risk with my father, brothers and friends when I was a kid. I bought this game for my son and he really enjoys it. The new rules provide an interesting variation on classic Risk and allows us to finish a game within a more reasonable timeframe. In my experience, Risk has always been a game that appeals to boys and not girls; in our home, this remains the case.

Customer Review: Risk for the 21st Century
Summary: 5 Stars

The 2008 revision of Risk brings the game into the 21st century. The new objective based victory system is a much needed refresh to the classic game of global domination. The objectives make the game go quicker (I finished my first game with a group of friends in about an hour and a half). But don't worry, you can still play a game of global domination if you wish.

Customer Review: Oldie but a Goodie!
Summary: 5 Stars

Risk is a fantastic strategic board game that has given my family hours of enjoyment. Risk is a basic attack and defense game. The only downfall is that risk relies a tad too heavily of chance. This is a great entry level games into more complex games such as Axis and Allies and children as young as 10 can play this game effectively
