Toys and Games Reviews of MonopolyCustomer Review: Monopoly Summary: 4 Stars
Many of you may have played Monopoly, but for those who have not you are missingout on a great board game. I have played it many times. When ever my family says lets play a borad game I say "MONOPOLY". Here are a few things good and bad about Monopoly.
Some great things about Monopoly is that you can do math so when your having fun you can also be learning. It is a fun family game, but the down side is that it is time consuming. When I play Monopoly I can never finish it. It may get frustrating, but it can teach patience. Monoploy may have hard math skills for younger players. On a rainy day Monopoly would be the best game to pull out and play.
So remember Monoploy is not the perfect game but I do recommend it.
Customer Review: Monopoly - the Timeless Classic Summary: 5 Stars
All right, maybe not timeless, but as long as capitalism exists, Monopoly will always be there. Hey, its great fun for the family, teaches the importance of waiting for the right opportunity and not blowing your cash on the first round of the game (as I used to do :P).
Now, Monopoly is a fun game, for sure, but after some player gets a foothold in the market, he usually keeps getting richer and richer, so after a few 10s (maybe a few hundred) of rounds, the rich player gets only richer. Educational about the real world? You bet! Though this gameplay mechanic does make Monopoly a little stale after a while, but no game's perfect, and I'm certainly not going to gripe on this.
Get this, the essential game for any capitalist family!
Customer Review: The Fun Just Keeps On Rockin' Summary: 5 Stars
Monopoly is a great game for the young and old (or young at heart) alike. This game isn't the most educational but it does help teach young children the value of money and how to count out money. This game is great to get the family to sit down and spend a few hours together playing. It's also great for teens when the weather is nasty or there is nothing good playing at the shows. They can have a group of friends come to one of the kids house's and order a pizza from a local pizzara and the fun and laughs just start rollin' out. The kids can sit there and learn how to be competive yet have fun and spend time with there friends. It's also a great way for a group of adults to unwind and have some fun, after a long day at work.
Customer Review: Best multi-generational game for family, friends and fun Summary: 5 Stars
As a child I played Monopoly with my family, and each game was memorable in itself. The ability to bring a family together for hours of fun and enjoyment, is a time tested quailty Monopoly exceeds at. I remember our self made "hug rule" to "console" those that we collected rent from, when a player landed on the properties we owned. It brought incredibly huge smiles to pick out our familiar pieces, (we loved the dog, thimble, shoe and cannon) and set up the game with eagerness and anticiaption of another exciting night together with the ones we love. Now, as a mother myself, I smile with fond reminicence of my childhood when my children's eyes light up, as mine did, at the words "Monopoly Time !!"
Customer Review: an all-time classic Summary: 5 Stars
There isn't much I can say about Monopoly that hasn't been said already, but I'll give it my best shot! Just hearing the word calls to mind sleepovers and Christmas mornings at three a.m when my younger sister and i were too excited to sleep and needed to pass the time. This game is suprisingly educational, i learned a lot about money and counting from it. I gave it three stars for durability because just like any board game you need to take care of the board and pieces and the paper money rips VERY easily. And I gave it five stars for fun, because it's one of the best board games you can buy and one of the most involving as well. Best for 10 and over in most circumstances they won't get bored, and it's best for ages ten and over.
