Customer Review: Great way to introduce games to toddlers!

I bought this game for my two year old for Christmas as his first board game. He loved it!! It was great for teaching him to take turns and the colors and shapes are great for learning as well. The only drawback of this game is that there is no box to store the game and pieces can get lost if you are not careful (the box it comes in has a cutout in the front, so its not overly useful). Other than that, this game is highly reccomended!Customer Review: Pretty good.

This game is designated for 3+ year old so I put it on my daughter's wish list and she received it for Christmas. She likes it, but I can see it boring her very soon. Her 4 year old cousin was not that amused. It's quite a bit more simple than you might imagine: a sort of shape-based BINGO.
Con: The shooting mechanism catches easily if the kids don't put them back in perfectly flat which can lead to easy frustration.

The Castle Game is a great new twist on Candy Land for younger players. After playing it at a friend's house, I bought it for my nieces (ages 2.5 and 4). The game teaches about shapes and colors, and works a little like bingo. They love it because even when the piece doesn't match their card, they still get to press the button and drop their piece back into the castle. This game is fast paced and keeps their attention. My daughter received this for her 3rd birthday. Although the game uses shapes and colors, it really is meant to teach kids how to play a game, take turns, and how to win or lose. My daughter knows her shapes and colors but she still loves playing this game. They pull the candy cane and a piece shoots out and what kid won't love that. We played it about 8 times in one day. My 3 and 8 year old enjoy playing this game. It's one of the few games they can play at the same time and both enjoy. It teaches good values like taking turns and not everyone wins.
My kids know their colors, but it reinforces that knowledge and shapes too. Although, i'm not sure what shape the blue one is supposed to be. we call it a flower.
The box is worthless, but the entire game stores on the base.
