Toys and Games Reviews of Candy Land Castle GameCustomer Review: quick and fun! Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this game for my daughters second birthday and she does not have the patience for playing a complete game yet. She loves the way the game shoots out the pieces but does not want to take turns (she's learning). She already knows her colors and shapes so it's not going to teach her anything new but it's entertaining still. She'll sit down and put all the pieces in the top then shoot them out and put them in the correct places on the gingerbread persons. I think as she gets older she'll love to play this fun game. Overall a excellent buy.
Customer Review: Unexpected Xmas day hit! Summary: 5 Stars
My daughters (3 and 6) played this for hours on Christmas day, forsaking their singing Dora doll, Barbie accessories, Wii games and Cartoon Network for this simple yet engaging little game. Two days later and they still want to play whenever they have a spare 5 minutes. No reading required, no skill except matching shapes to cards, and games are fast-paced and brief, unlike the Candy Land board game which takes too long and has all those cards to clean up. I love how it has no batteries, no noise and the whole thing stores away compactly. A+!
Customer Review: Great game for preschoolers! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this recently for DD2's 2nd birthday, even though DD1, age 4, (who loves Candyland) was the one who commented regularly on it in toy stores. My 2 year old was able to pick up the game very easily, manages the candy lever well and is able to 'take turns' without tantrums. A great game that can be played with both age groups but it isn't a toy that you would purchase for a 3 or 4 year old as it really is too easy. In fact, I wished I got it when DD2 was 18 months. Still a great first game that we've all been able to enjoy together.
Customer Review: Fun for preschoolers and mom and dads Summary: 5 Stars
This was a great fun for my 3-4 yr old. He was learning shapes and colors with this fun creative version of candy land. My little guy liked pulling the handle and getting everyone's shapes out. He would call out the shape and the color and then hand them to you.
Make sure you keep this up when the game is over There are a lot of fun colorful shapes that my son wanted to carry around in his pocket. Wish there was a extra replacement kit for this game. We have been searching for pieces to play
Customer Review: Great game for toddlers! Summary: 5 Stars
My 3-year-old nephew has this game and we are getting it for our 2 year old this Christmas because he LOVES it. It is simple for little kids and is like putting together a puzzle, which makes it fun for the kids. My son is too young to understand the concept of most board games, but this is a good introduction and we play it a lot at home. He also likes to play it by himself and match all the shapes up. He already knows shapes/colors but this reinforces it. I love this game.
