Toys and Games Reviews of Candy Land Castle Game

Customer Review: Little People's CandyLand
Summary: 5 Stars

Hasbro Candy Land Castle Game
I purchased this game for my grandson after attempting playing the original Candy Land game with him. This is so much fun for both of us. Learning to "take-turns" is much easier for him with the smaller, individual player boards, complete with colored, shaped,cut-outs. When the lever on the brightly colored castle is pulled, a colored & shaped disk comes down a slide and your child can easily place the disk on the correct spot. It's great fun just watching them await their turn pulling the lever. Well worth a look!

Customer Review: Great First Game
Summary: 5 Stars

I was looking for a good beginner board game so we could start family game night with our 3 year old and this game is great. It is very simple and does not take too long to play a round: pull the lever and one piece shoots out of the castle (fun) and if it matches your game board you keep it and if not you put it back in the castle top. Great first game, box says 3+ but 2 year olds could easily play this game with supervision. I think it is a bit overpriced, but there is not really a great selection of easy beginner games available. (We have the Lucky Ducks game - fun but noisy! And we have Hi Ho Cherry-O - fun but 40 tiny plastic cherries!)

Customer Review: Happy grand-daughter
Summary: 5 Stars

I saw the Candyland Castle Game on the Amazon website and it looked like it would be fun for my almost three year old grand-daughter since she enjoys organizing and matching. I got her mom's approval and had it shipped. They called the day it arrived to let me know that Kathleen wouldn't stop playing with it. When her older girlfriend (3-1/2 yrs) visited a few days later they played quietly together; her mom went out and bought one for her.
Kathleen quickly taught her dolls how to play the game ;-) and she can amuse herself, play with friends, or with her parents. Looking forward to next month when we visit to play also!

Customer Review: mother of four
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of those rare quality toy gems that can be passed down! It is fun, it is durable it seriously rocks for younger children...I bought it as a gift for my three year old son...he loves it! My older children enjoy playing it with him even though it is a toddler toy! I was pleasantly suprized that the shapes are made of a thick durable plastic...four heavy cardboard gingerbread men with indented shape spaces...it works well and the randomness of the shape output, gives it a bingo effect that keeps the more grown-up players engaged!

I would recommend this game to anyone with young children!

Customer Review: fun game for toddlers
Summary: 4 Stars

My 4-year-old son has really just gotten into playing games. He got this game for Christmas and I like it compared to other games on the market for toddlers. The game goes quickly, which fits my son's attention span. I do like how all of the shape pieces fit into the chimney and the gingerbread man (and woman) boards fit into the back of the game. The shapes are also chunky and fun to hold. It is a small game, so it does not take up a lot of space and can easily fit on a shelf or in a cabinet. I think it is a decent game for the price I paid at Amazon. My son is happy with it and I like playing it with him.
