Toys and Games Reviews of Candy Land Castle GameCustomer Review: Ok toy Summary: 3 StarsThe most fun feature this toy has is the handle that allows to spit out the pieces. But other than that I found that my children (ages 2, 4) don't really like playing much with it because it is a little boring. I think it is totally overpriced for what it is.
Customer Review: Pretty good. Summary: 4 StarsThis game is designated for 3+ year old so I put it on my daughter's wish list and she received it for Christmas. She likes it, but I can see it boring her very soon. Her 4 year old cousin was not that amused. It's quite a bit more simple than you might imagine: a sort of shape-based BINGO.
Con: The shooting mechanism catches easily if the kids don't put them back in perfectly flat which can lead to easy frustration.
Customer Review: mother of four Summary: 5 StarsThis is one of those rare quality toy gems that can be passed down! It is fun, it is durable it seriously rocks for younger children...I bought it as a gift for my three year old son...he loves it! My older children enjoy playing it with him even though it is a toddler toy! I was pleasantly suprized that the shapes are made of a thick durable plastic...four heavy cardboard gingerbread men with indented shape spaces...it works well and the randomness of the shape output, gives it a bingo effect that keeps the more grown-up players engaged!
I would recommend this game to anyone with young children!
Customer Review: Great for children with developmental delays too! Summary: 5 StarsI got this for my son last summer and he really loves it. He is 6 and has Autistic Spectrum Disorder. This game helps teach turn taking (and patience), shapes, colors, and is great for peer interaction. Kids without delays will enjoy it too. Easy to understand and fun.
Customer Review: Good addition to the original candy land Summary: 3 StarsWe played this on it's own at first but quickly grew bored. My son is nearly 4 but is very WOWed by this game. He already has great motor skills, he can read, write, and think. It was not purchased for education value.
After boredom stuck I decided to add this to our candy land game. Once everyone reached candy castle then we hand out the bingo like cards. My son is in charge of pushing the candy cane down to shoot the pieces out. Doing it this way is certainly more interesting and adds another 10 minutes before I hear "Lets do it again!"
