We got this for our son when he turned five and it was by far his favorite gift. The little ones definitely need an adult to help set it up and it can be knocked over requiring you to go back and fix things up again. But I don't think that's a huge issue. Plus, my son is starting to figure out how to put it back together on his own (good thinking toy!) Our son really loves playing with this and it keeps him happy for long periods. I highly recommend this toy. Can't wait to add on for even more set-up options!Customer Review: The best marble set I've seen

This is a great toy. My son got it for his 5th birthday, and was initially uninterested. His 7 year old sister started playing with it, and within days it was the most favored toy in the house. We got several of the add-on sets, and particularly the red teeter-totter along with the long rails (need these to make the teeter-totter work!) really add to the fun. I would highly recommend this as a great gift for any child between 4-7. It's also very durable and should last through several sets of kids.Customer Review: great for older kids or patient adults

I bought this for my two 3 year old grandsons. They loved the marble action but it required pretty much constant attention from their parents as the structures are unstable and easily knocked over with a resounding crash. There are many variations in building design and lots of interesting pieces but construction is somewhat complicated, often requiring checks with the included design book. This game is really for older children or for young children with very patient parents.Customer Review: Great for all ages.

This is the best toy we have ever purchased. I am so happy with it. We have since added to the basic set, and have created more fun. My four year old as well as my 22 month old just loves the marble run. Not to mention me and my husband. So much fun. We got this for my son last week for his third birthday and it's almost the only thing he's wanted to play with since. We help him set it up but already he's experimenting with adding blocks on his own and adding the "accelerators". As other people have said the only problem is that now we all want more pieces...
