My 3-year old son plays with a plastic marble set at preschool, and that prompted me to find one for him to play with at home. I chose the Quadrilla despite the higher price because I thought the wooden construction would last longer and be virtually unbreakable. We have not been disappointed! It is one of very few toys that will hold his attention for any length of time. I have to build it for him, and it easily tips over if you bump it just slightly, but it is so worth it to see him and my 5-year old daughter drop the marbles in over and over and over again and just be absolutely delighted every time. I have to admit it is even lots of fun for me and my husband and our adult friends to build and play with along with the kids. We have already purchased the Quadrilla Rail Set, and plan to buy the Twist Set too. All sets come with instructions on how to build the railways, and after trying them all a few times, it's easier than I thought it would be to come up with my own construction ideas. I strongly recommend this product
