These expansion pieces were bought as an addition to our nephew's base set. They proved to be great pieces to add more versatility to his construction. They are basic curved track pieces, but unlike anything that came in his base set. The Quadrilla railway is a great toy with wonderful options and sturdy construction albeit expensive and a bit confusing for younger children to construct. My husband spent hours being entertained!!!
