I wasn't sure if I would find the zhu zhu pet so I got this and my daughter (5) loves it. She also has a zhu zhu pet and she plays with both. This one doesn't make all the sounds, but it is nice it comes with a ball. It is much less likely to end up behind a piece of furniture. It also only uses one battery! I bought some of the 'clothes' that people were selling for the zhu zhu pets and they fit great! I also got one for my Grandma's cat. I am not sure if the cat likes it too much, but my Grandma (100) loves it as well! Customer Review: Unhappy Hamster

Was very disappointed in product. Never could get it to work, even after several battery changes. Poor substitute for ZHU ZHU pet, which are now selling for $8.00 at Walmart(this was $11.00), it is significantly smaller and it does not make any of the hamster sounds. Supplier was very cooperative about return however. Customer Review: Cute toy! My kids love it!

Very cute toy! I bought this for my daughter in the midst of the Zhu Zhu pet craze over the holidays! I stumbled on this brand by accident. I am pleased with the product and the price. One word of caution--my 3-year-old daughter got the hamster stuck in her hair! She turned it on and the wheels on the underside of the "pet" tangled in her hair. It was difficult for me not to laugh at the scenario, but my daughter cried. :( It really hurt her head and ultimately, I had to cut her hair to remove it. That aside, we like the toy and learned never to "cuddle with it" by our hair again!
