this shovel is indestructible - kids can stomp on it, try to move beach boulders with it, and the thing does not break. we have had ours for 3 years - simply the best toy you can give a kid - some kids just love to dig, at the beach, in the back yard, in the alley - they can amuse themselves for hours digging - this shovel will stand up to all kinds of abuse - easy for their small hands to handles, and hoses down for cleaning. we have bought lots of toy shovels, at kmart, at toys stores, etc - but they all bust in a week or two... this is top quality. happy digging.
