My seven month old grandson loves the sound that rattles make. However, he is still learning hand/arm control, so while he is shaking rattles, he may bonk himself on the head. The soft outer edges are helpful to keep him bonk-proof. The material also gives him something to chew on. It has been one of his favorite toys since he received it two months ago. Haba produces safe toys, but they are often entirely of wood, so this was a great alternative.
Description of Haba Blossom Rattle
Our lovely grasping toy and rattle features soft and rustling blossoms. On one side you will find a smiling face and yellow petals. On the other, you will discover a sleepy face and blue petals. The beechwood ring is removable for washing and the smiling/sleepy face spins around as baby explores. Measures approximately 5" in diameter. Ages 6 months and up. Made by Haba of Germany.
