My 3 year-old son LOVES tub toys, especially tub squirters, so I thought these would be perfect - given his obsession with Thomas the Tank Engine. And truth be told, he does like playing with them. But ...
* they don't float upright! They float lying on their sides.
* they're stiff & difficult to completely fill with water. If you want the water to squirt out the top of the train's funnel (like steam) they have to be totally full and you have to squeeze pretty hard. It's too difficult for my 3 year-old. When only partially filled (which is normal) you have to turn them upside down to get them to squirt. They squirt well like that - a nice steady stream - but kind of defeats the purpose.
Overall, my son likes them, but does get frustrated when they don't float upright. He likes playing with them out of the tub too. But, if I would have know the above things, I'm not sure I would have bought them. Even though they are only $10.

This is my first product review ever! I love to read them, but have never felt the need to leave one until now...
My son received these "bath" toys for his birthday and loves Thomas, Percy, and Salty! However, these are the WORST bath toys ever created! 1. They leave awful marks on my tub that are very difficult to remove--thankfully it is possible to scrub them off. 2. They don't squirt well. 3. What do you do with trains in water??? There are no tracks to run them on...
Therefore, these toys have been banished from the tub and have become just regular toys. For this purpose, my son loves them, but in the tub they are worthless.

My 20-month-old son is a HUGE Thomas fan, so when I saw these recently at a store, I had to pick them up for him. They're adorable!
They work like any other bathtub squirter -- just fill them up with water and squeeze them to watch water come out the "smokestack." (You have to fill them up pretty full for it to work properly, as the water is being squirted straight up.)
My son also enjoys playing with them outside of the tub. They don't really roll, as of course they don't have working wheels, but he still likes to make them "chug" across the floor.

My son loves these. He hasn't put them down since the package arrived--a birthday gift from a beloved uncle.
Sadly, my wife is now coping with nausea and an impending migraine. The vinyl is vanilla-scented and is just cloyingly sweet and overwhelming. There is no warning on the package, nor on the website.
I would rate this much higher if it weren't stinky. Sadly, this is a toy that may have to disappear.

Although this toy isn't very educational, my grandson still loves playing with Thomas when it's bath time. The trains are a little difficult for him to squeeze, but he's more into using them as boats then as squirters. If you buy this set, look for the plastic Thomas & Friends boat that goes in the tub. My grandson received the boat for Christmas as well, and he's able to switch the squirters out.
