Thomas "bath" toys are perfect regular toys for younger Thomas fans! My 18 month-old boy still likes to chew everything, so these are great. He "chugs" the Thomas and Friends Bathtub Squirters all over the house - the wheels don't move and they don't make any noise but he doesn't mind. He showed me they line up nicely along the top of the baby gate. They are softer than his "real" car/train toys; he likes to hug them all to bring the group somewhere, like the bath! They don't float upright (disappointing) but they are fun in other ways: you can hold them down on the bottom of the tub and squish the sides to make "steam" (air bubbles) come out. When it's out of "steam" you take it out of the water and squirt the water out. He can't squirt it yet, but likes it when I do. Like any bath squirt toy there's no easy way to clean, and they get to the point of a soak in bleach solution or chuck 'em out. WARNING: There are different Thomas and Friends Bathtub Squirter sets out there! I wanted Thomas/Percy/Salty and Target said they had them in stock but they don't! Target only had Thomas/James/Rosie and Thomas wasn't painted quite right. I heard the set with Rosie doesn't squirt right so I didn't get them. I got a set somewhere else with Thomas/James/Molly and Thomas has the correct paint job and they all squirt well. So we're quite pleased.
