I was in a hobby store and sitting on the shelf in the front was Goober begging for a hug. I picked him up and knew he was going home with me. No matter what is going on in the world and in my life, one look at this bear always makes me smile. You don't have to be a stuffed animal person to really enjoy him. The way he looks just provides a presence and gives a feeling of companionship where ever he is. There's no way to go wrong with purchasing this bear, whether for a gift or for yourself. I normally don't write reviews for products, but this is one product I feel deserves to be praised.Customer Review: Amazing bear for non-stuffed animal people

I received Goober as a birthday present. I haven't had a stuffed animal for over a decade, but fell in love with Goober. Amazingly huggable with a melt-your-heart, clueless look about him. Everyone who has met Goober since has either wanted one or wanted to spend time with him. Thank you so much Gund!
4/5 in durability only because his fur's getting a little nappy from all the handling and I'm not quite sure how to wash him.
3/5 Educational.... really he's just there to make you smile :)

Even though I'm a bit old for stuffed animals, I couldn't resist this one. I bought him for myself for Christmas. He makes me smile every time I look at him. I don't have a dog or cat, so this to me is the next best thing. I have him sitting in a rocking chair in my bedroom. At Christmas time he was sitting by the fireplace in the living room. He is very soft, seems to be durable too. Overall, a great gift that will bring a smile to anyone of any age!Customer Review: Great teddy bear!

I initially purchased this bear as a valentine's gift for my wife. As with all the stuffed animals I have purchased from Gund, the 11-Inch Goober Bear is of good quality, and has stood the test of time.
It is also very soft, and has earned the nickname "cuddly bear" from my young daughter, who has adopted him into her collection (to my wife's disapproval).
This makes a great gift for your wife...and your daughters!

I'm an avid teddy bear collector. When I saw this guy in a bookstore, I just couldn't pass him up. His giant nose is too adorable and his big "Buddah belly" is too precious for words. He is very soft and is particularly nice for napping with. Although I didn't keep the name Goober, it perfectly suits this goofy looking, yet totally adorable bear. He's perfect for children and adults alike. If you love teddy bears, he's the one for you.
