After much deliberation I bought this table and chairs for my 2 year old grandson. It arrived on time, and was easy to assemble. The table and chairs are much more sturdy than I even imagined. I am not a small person, and when my grandson eats at his table, he always wants me to sit next to him. The small chair holds me just fine. It's a well done table, beautifully painted, and cleans easily. I wanted to protect the beautiful colors and characters on the table top, so I called the company and they said it has already been treated with a finish, but I wanted to do it myself. Bought a clear sealer at Lowe's Home Improvement and painted it on the entire set....gives is a slightly more glossy finish but you can get it in matte as well. It's a great set and I've have compliments on it from others. Only you can decide if you want to spend $156 on it, but I'm glad I did. Much nicer than those hard plastic ones. My only wish is that it came with 4 chairs instead of two. With 4 chairs it's pretty expensive for the set.
