Customer Review: Great fun, excellent for language development

OK, my 3- and 5-year olds LOVE playing this game. They need some assistance, but it's great because you can almost see the wheels turning in their little heads. Great fun for family game night. Also, as a teacher, I can see some really great language development applications for this.
I'd seen the original version but this is the first one we have owned. I agree that the large card format is much better than the little cards in the original version. Also, I have never put batteries in ours and it's still a blast to play.
Note: This isn't exactly the fault of the game, but it's design DOES Make it a little vulnerable to my 3-year old daughter's RAMPANT CHEATING. She doesn't really cheat at other games, but for some reason really does here.

We have found this game to be much more fun than the original, which we have been playing in our house for several years, now. The original Guess Who? Board Game is certainly fun and good for younger children, but the updated version has so many more characters that the game takes a little longer and hence it is more fun! I was a little put off by the design, as it is hard to open and close sometimes, and the battery compartment was really difficult to figure out. The lights on top are more for effect than anything else, but as noted before, it gives the game a little something extra.Customer Review: Vast improvement!

Whenever my god-daughter comes over my house Guess Who? was always a game she would choose. But after seven or ten rounds, it can get slightly monotonous. When I saw this, I knew I would be getting this for her. The game is great and I was glad to see that the original characters were included. Now we can play round after round and the game is still fresh. We decided not to play with batteries because they are not really needed. The batteries activate a timer and yes and no buttons. My god-daughter and I decided that we would rather talk to each other than press a button to provide our answer. This game is great and I recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the original.Customer Review: Improvement over the original

Bought this game 2 years ago for my then 6-year old daughter. Everyone in the family plays it from my highschool kids to my elementary daughter. Because there are 6 different themes the boredom with the characters doesn't grow as fast as the original game does. We can easily play this game over and over again without getting tired of looking at the same characters. This is one of the few games that gets taken out to be played still after 2 years. There are no pieces to lose and the durablity of this game is excellent.
I personally took the batteries out of the electronic part, it's very loud and useless. Now all we need is an expansion kit with more themes.
Customer Review: Missed a golden opportunity

The original Guess Who was a favorite of all my nieces and nephews. Unlike many of the toys they had , they played this one for years. When I saw this version I bought it for my great nephews. I thought that the animal and household cards could be played by children who could not read yet. Unfortunately the pictures are so abstract as to be unreconizable. Even I couldn't identify sone of the pictures without reading what they were. Too bad because this could have been a good game for those children just on the brink of reading. I wouldn't even recommend this version for older children just because I find the art work unpleasant in many of the non people catagories.
