Customer Review: Technical problems and customer service nightmare!

My kiddos love Webkins and my older daughter has been able to play and add her new pets without any problems, but my youngest daughter has had nothing but problems. She couldn't log in, then when she finally was able to she got a message saying that the secret code of her brand new webkin had already been used, then the next time the new pet did show up but she hadn't been able to complete the adoption, and now she can't get into "my room" at all. This has happened with all 3 of her new Webkinz. I have followed the instructions and sent polite and thorough explanations through the poorly designed customer service links provided on the website and so far have only received canned responses saying that someone will get back to me in 1-3 days. My emails were sent 4 days ago. Great idea, great product, but these problems and the unprecedented poor level of customer service give this toy a poor review. I hope they are able to fix their problems and if the can't, I hope someone comes along and does it better.Customer Review: Website doesn't work for new members

My daughter has been so excited, hoping that Santa would bring her a few webkinz, because she has heard so much about playing with them on the webkinz website. Santa was kind enough to leave three Christmas morning.However, GANZ/WEBKINZ was not nice enough to provide a working website, Christmas morning, or the 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st and counting. I have tried to get some response from the company regarding this problem, but there is no link to an actual customer service email address on the webkinz site, unless you are REGISTERED! The address on the GANZ site gets NO response whatsoever. YOu may notice that the one part of my review I rated above 1 star was durablilty. It's quite simple- if it don't work, children don't play with it. Looks like, at this rate, my daughter''s webkinz will last forever ! Now, that's what I call durability ! Although this little seal is darling, my granddaughters seldom play with the well-made Webkinz animals, or any other plush animals, and most of them find their way into a storage box under each bed. They collect the Webkinz animals because they love to play with the virtual animal counterparts on the Webkinz on-line site. The website is very safe for children, contains many interesting and educational games and activities, is frequently updated, and has a great customer service ethic. Children are responsible for the well being of their on-line animals, and I think it promotes a healthy sense of empathy and responsibility. My granddaughters love decorating rooms and growing food in their virtual gardens for their animals. They earn virtual Webkinz $$ to support their virtual Webkinz family. Make sure your child is ready for a Webkinz before buying this or any other one! My son wasn't ready when he got one last year - he was completely overwhelmed by the website and very disappointed. So we put it away until now, when he's more mature and has seen others play online. But little did I know that use of the website expires after a year! They send you a notice - but only on the site - so if you're not on the site, you don't know. There's a one month grace period, and then that's it - you can no longer use that Webkinz pet online. Now it is simply a so-so stuffed animal Their answer? Buy another one!Customer Review: Good

These toys are educational and the fun never ends. You get not only a plush toy but a virtual one as well that your child (or you) can feed, dress and interact with. I have had to was a few of these in the washing machine and they hold up pretty well. I don't throw it in the dryer, but let it air dry instead and that perks them right up. My children range from 1-11 and they all enjoy these pets so it's a good gift idea for a child whom you aren't sure of their interests. The white webkinz get dirty faster and don't stay as crisp, but who doesn't know that already?
