I get it--- sometimes we get less than we expect. But this is not just the Christmas rush----I have been all over the Internet, and Webkinz has been having support problems since at least September! That they did not anticipate larger than normal Xmas traffic is suspect--that they are not handling the disappointment now is unforgivable. Send the following email to the store where you received your non-functioning, $15 stuffed animal that does nothing--because from the sounds of it, there are thousands of us out there! "Hi [store name]: My email is ------. This will seem like a small complaint to you, and I am sure you can do nothing about it, but I want you to know that I have several other friends who have had the same experience. Prior to Christmas, I purchased two Ganz Webkinz at your ---- store. My girls received these from `Santa.' To our dismay, they did not work on the Webkinz site--the site said both codes had already been used. Now, I know this is not true, as I bought them at your store, and your clerk took care to tell me that Webkinz were not returnable. The Webkinz site has admitted, via their bulletin to parents, that there has been difficulty--but it is now 10 days past Christmas and I, along with several friends, have not received satisfaction from the company. It seems to me that a store like ----- should not carry such a shoddy product with such poor customer service. I hope you will at least complain to them on my behalf, as apparently the consumer has no power whatsoever with this company. I thank you for the many, many other quality products I have purchased from your store. This is most certainly not one of them. ---[name]"

Webkinz pets are very special plush animals. Each Webkinz pet comes with a secret code that allows the owner to log into the website and adopt a virtual version of their pet. With this code as their key, children can join Webkinz World without giving out any personal information such as e-mail, last name or phone number. These special red tags contain a code that can be used in the Code Shop. Activating a code will win you a Secret Recipe, some KinzCash, and one, two, or more of the new W-Cares Prizes. It will also unlock a W-Cares Game that you can play once a day for five days. The game gives you more chances at winning some of the W-Cares Prizes and some other Webkinz World items....... For every prize you win, an identical prize will be awarded to a random member in Webkinz World. It could be someone you know, but most likely it will be someone you don't know.'
