Customer Review: WebKinz website probably overloaded

There are problems with the WebKinz website which they are aware of and are working to fix. I see notices posted almost every day about the technical support problems. My guess is there were lots of kids with new toys and time off school.
People with dial-ups probably will have more of a problem.
They said on the site that they would compensate in WebKinz dollars, which is a kind of currency only used for virtual objetcts. Users will get this automatically.
It is now Jan. 14 and I have have had very few problems over the last few days, so I am seeing improvement. I had trouble logging in and locking up.
Customer Review: Technical problems and customer service nightmare!

My kiddos love Webkins and my older daughter has been able to play and add her new pets without any problems, but my youngest daughter has had nothing but problems. She couldn't log in, then when she finally was able to she got a message saying that the secret code of her brand new webkin had already been used, then the next time the new pet did show up but she hadn't been able to complete the adoption, and now she can't get into "my room" at all. This has happened with all 3 of her new Webkinz. I have followed the instructions and sent polite and thorough explanations through the poorly designed customer service links provided on the website and so far have only received canned responses saying that someone will get back to me in 1-3 days. My emails were sent 4 days ago. Great idea, great product, but these problems and the unprecedented poor level of customer service give this toy a poor review. I hope they are able to fix their problems and if the can't, I hope someone comes along and does it better.Customer Review: Site for Children 5-13

To the lady that said the online toy was difficult for her 6 year old boy to use:
Not to be overwhelmingly mean or anything, but I think your son must have a learning disability.
The site is specifically designed for children ages 5 to 13 so if your child is almost 6 and having a problem with the site, HE has a problem, not the site.
My cousin who is 3 years old plays happily on the site all the time. She doesn't need help, and she understands everything, because all you have to do is click on the words, and they will be read aloud.
Also children who are six are in first grade, which means they should already know how to read.
I, presonally learned how to read chapter books before I even entered kingergarten.
Customer Review: Very Disapointed

This came as a gift to our 6 year old child for Christmas 2007. Since then we have not been able to register it on the Ganz website or do anything for that matter! My son is very disappointed. We keep getting cryptic messages saying the there is a problem with the server, or something else. We cannot register the product, and it's been close to a week now. No apology, just a bunch of BS.
The BBB has rated this company as unsatisfactory. We now know why.

Customer Review: Good as long as you don't want to use the internet site

My daughter has been so excited, hoping that Santa would bring her a few webkinz, because she has heard so much about playing with them on the webkinz website. Santa was kind enough to leave three Christmas morning.However, GANZ/WEBKINZ was not nice enough to provide a working website, Christmas morning, or the 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th and counting. I have tried to get some response from the company regarding this problem, but there is no link to an actual customer service email address on the webkinz site. The address on the GANZ site gets NO response whatsoever. YOu may notice that the one part of my review I rated above 1 star was durablilty. It's quite simple- if it don't work, children don't play with it. Looks like, at this rate, my daughter''s webkinz will last forever ! Now, that's what I call durability !
