Toys and Games Reviews of Scrambled States of America Game Card GameCustomer Review: buy this! Summary: 5 Stars
my son (age 7) found the dvd that goes to this game at the library and fell in love with it! we watched it a dozen times the 1st day. come christmas time, i found that it has a game and a book-so we got him both. it is now 12.29.07 and i can say that i have played this game at the very least 40 times. this is by far his favorite gift. he is finding the states with out any problem now and is learning the nickname and the capitals as well.
ssshhhh...i don't think he knows he is learning!
Customer Review: My kids loved this! Summary: 4 Stars
My kids (ages 11, 9, and 6) all have fun playing this game. I'd love to be able to purchase more cards as I can see that in the future the ones that came with the game will become too easy. The only negative thing I have to say is that it is made for 2 to 4 players; however, it only gave us three reference maps. I'm sure it was supposed to have come with four and our missing one was a mistake.
Besides that, great game and lots of fun!
Customer Review: Kids and Adults learn & love this game Summary: 5 Stars
My grandson played this game in the aftercare program at his elementary school and "loved it" enough to ask for his own copy. It took months to get it but it was worth the wait. His 1st grade sister has now grasped the difference between a city and a state and the United States. His parents get a kick out of playing it with the kids as they can explain where they lived and where their friends are located. It has provided hours of fun.
Customer Review: Fun and educational Summary: 5 Stars
Based on the hilarious book by Laurie Keller, this game works as a card game, a geography lesson, and an attribute game. One of the great things about this game is the way children of different ages can play it together, each at his/her own level. A four year old can look for a red state, or one by an ocean, while and older child can be taking in the capitals or other facts about the states. Deceptively simple, and a whole lot of fun.
Customer Review: Fun Game Summary: 4 Stars
This was a fun and educational game. I bought it to help my son learn the states and their capitals. My son is 10 and he really enjoys playing this. His brother, who is 7, also enjoys it, but it is a little too difficult to him. You need to be a good reader and you need to be quick. This game involves trying to slap down the correct answer to a question first. For a younger kid, this gets difficult. I would say 10 and up it is great for.
