Customer Review: Prepare for a family argument...

I played this game with my wife's family and spouses and it was not nearly as good as other offerings in this genre. It is a cross between Apples to Apples and Balderdash with less character than either. The object of the gsame is to flip over a card and then everyone scribbles down as many of a type of thing as possible (I.e. "Animals at a zoo") within a time frame. Then you go around the table rolling a die that says "hit, miss, or wild card" and try to pick something off your list that either every one has on their lists (for hit) or nobody has (for miss). You get points for guessing what others will/won't have and they get points for out guessing you. It is a simple concept but the execution leaves too much room for metagaming and rulemongering.
I'm not sure what other reviewers found so "hilarious" about this game. The topics are actually quite dry for the most part: medical specialties, airlines, animals native to Australia, etc. There is very little of the inherent humor of some other games that include suggestive or zany topics. It really felt more like Scrabble than a "party game" at times because of the lists of words people generated. Sure you could throw a crazy word in there but in the seconds you have to write humor was reserved for someone who has no intention of winning.
The main flaw is that the rules leave words up to debate too much. There are so many games of this type with clearer rules and more flavor that I would recommend giving Hit or Miss a miss.
