Customer Review: Hand slapping fun

I bought this for my 6 year old to learn the states & we both love it. The game plays quickly (less than 10 minutes for 2 people). I have added a rule that you must announce the name of the state when you pick up the card. He loves to try to beat me at slapping a card (especially when his hand is down first & I end up smacking his hand it just starts him laughing so hard). I like that he is learning to recognize state names, he can pronounce them and soon he will learn the regions of the country their in as I change our rules to include saying that when you pick up the card. The game is based on a book--no need to read it beforehand but I would recommend checking it out from the library (there's also a DVD done by scholastic w/the story on it). My son has no idea he's learning--he thinks we're just having some fun (as learning should be).
