Purchased this for our 3.5 year old daughter because she's fascinated by snakes. This game is simple to learn, yet you have to think and use logic. Best of all, it's fun. It's not a long game, takes about 20 minutes, so it's good for young players. It's small and doesn't take up a lot of room to store, great for travel. Cards are thick and durable. Our three year old is very active and it's been tough getting him to play board games. Hiss is currently the only board game he'll play. It is a perfect combination of easy but fun. Doesn't require counting. It only requires that the child can match colors and understands that the goal is to complete a snake. Great game. I enjoy playing this game as much as my 5-year-old daughter does! It's a fun, uncomplicated game which seems perfect for all ages. The best part about it is that no two games are exactly alike, since you may end up with 6 short snakes one game or 3 super long snakes the next. If you're tired of Candyland and Chutes & Ladders, you should give Hiss a try! Nothing overly complicated, just good family snake building fun! You do need a little room to spread out the pieces, but it is also a great size game to take when traveling. Our family has game night once a week and all of us (Mom, Dad, 6 year old boy, 3 year old girl) love it!Customer Review: I wish there were a button for ten stars...

ManomanoMAN! My kids are 3 & 5 and I have yet to find a better game that both can play together. I rave about Gamewright to everyone I know, and I place this game at the top of the Gamewright collection (at least for the "young kid" games). Some skill, some luck, no reading or counting but plenty of thinking. And sturdy construction to boot. Awesome.
