Customer Review: great introduction to sedentary games!

I have very active 4 year old twin boys, who do not like board games. This was the first game they would sit down and play over and over. They LOVE it! We play it on almost a daily basis, and have lost one of the tails. I finally contacted Gamewright, to request a new tail since they love it so much, and they are actually going to send me one! I would recommend this to anyone with preschoolers...as mentioned in another review, you do not hold the cards in your hands. I own it and I don't even have kids! (I do have two pet snakes, though.)
Another benefit of his besides those mentioned in the other reviews...Hisss is a good physical game too, because you have to stre-e-e-tch your body to place the cards in position when the snakes get long.
Here's a tip - buy two sets and play with 100 cards instead of 50. This makes even longer snakes possible and also gives you two of every head and tail card! Just make plenty of floor space available!

My 4-1/2 year old grandson loves this game, and I enjoy playing it with him. Since he gets a kick every time he wins a snake, he isn't so bummed out if he doesn't actually win the game. In fact, I think one of the good things about this game is that it isn't so competitive, though there is a winner. It's good at logic building, since you have to figure out how best to place your game piece and where you can combine snakes. I got this on sale before Christmas, but I would be happy with it if I had paid full price.Customer Review: Bored with Hisss

This is a nice game especially for beginners. My son is four and has autism. He is also delayed. He can play this game easily (except for scoring) and enjoyed it at first, but became bored with it rather quickly. The picture represents the product well. Pick a card and see if you can match it to the snake you are creating. Im surprised by the high reviews. I would have thought more people would have tired of it quickly. I gave it three stars because it is a good game, but for us the fun didn't last.Customer Review: Fun & Educational - its true!

I purchased this game on the clearance shelf at WalMart and was thrilled b/c it was sold out everywhere last Christmas when I wanted it. My 3 and 5 year old love it! Big fun for the whole family to spread out on the floor and play together. Every kid that comes to our house wants to play this. Very simple, but colorful and a bit thought provoking for younger kids. (I'd say age 7 would be the max for it - bored) I'll take another reviewer's advice and buy another set of cards for bigger snakes!
