Toys and Games Reviews of Gamewright Hisss Card GameCustomer Review: Thisss game is antivenin for boredom Summary: 5 Stars
My 4 year old twin boys received this game for Christmas and they love it. They can play this game by themselves but of course it is more fun if Daddy or Mommy play with them also. They want to get another set so they can combine the two games and play with their friends. They have several games and this is one of their games that they keep returning to. And from my point of view this is a good game that is not annoying or needs batteries. I am deathly afraid of snakes or anything resembling them. However this game was so much fun that I didn't mind having snakes all over my living room.
Customer Review: Fun for kids of all ages Summary: 5 Stars
My son played this game in kindergarten and loved it, so we bought it. It is great fun, it teaches kids how to visualize and it reinforces counting skills. Easy for kids as young as 3-4 to play, and fun for them to play it with friends, older siblings, and parents, because they work together to create snakes of different lengths. You can take the cards with you on vacation as an easy way to keep the kids occupied (not in the car, though, as you need to spread out). It's a great value as well. It goes quickly, so buy two sets if you have lots of kids or want to extend the playing time.
Customer Review: Fun game! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great game for the preschool-2nd grade age group. The object is to build the most color-coded snakes . There are two rainbow wild cards in the deck that allow kids to help them complete any snake. The other element of the game is having head and tail cards in your hand to complete the snake. This is good for younger kids because it teacher color recognition and older kids learn strategy skills. My sons are 4 and 7 and they've always enjoyed playing this game together. They have introduced it to friends who come over and they always enjoy it. I highly recommend.
Customer Review: The best game ever! Summary: 5 Stars
We bought both this game and SLAMWICH for our 5-year old son and I can't say enough about either one! Both are made from sturdy materials, have easy directions, and children can play immediately. Every time we have a play date, both of these games are the first things to come out of our son's playroom. Neither one requires reading and higher level skills can ultimately evolve later for more of a challenge. I have bought both for birthday gifts for other children and they, too, can't get enough. I look forward to buying more for his 6th birthday in May!
Customer Review: Fun! Wonderful! I Love it! Summary: 5 Stars
I buy GameWright games for school. I teach English to Speakers of Other Languages and my students speak varying degrees of English. This game is good for all ages and all levels of English. It relies on visual discrimination of colors and the student who doesn't speak English very well turns out to be the "gifted" student in arranging and creating the longest snakes. Everyone can participate and the casual and fun atmosphere allows students to learn social language and interaction in the US. Everyone is happy and everyone can do it.
