I bought this for my 3 year old daughter because she's a huge Dora fan. The backpack is great, and pretty spacious. The only "downside" is that the magnet that holds Backpack closed doesn't really have the strength to do so if the pack is filled with many things. That wouldn't deter me from buying it, though. We just sewed a velcro tab onto it where the magnet is, and that took care of that!
It really is cute, and my daughter just loves wearing it around the house, and even out to church, the grocery store, wherever! Backpack even went to Walt Disney World with us, to hold crackers and a few toys for us!
Definitely worth buying!

This is the perfect backpack for younger Dora the Explorer fans. My two year old LOVES this backpack. It is big enough to hold stuff (toys, board books, etc.) but not so big that it overwhelms her. The plush material is very soft and cozy and the "face" looks just like Dora's backpack. I bought it to be part of a Dora Halloween costume but my daughter refuses to go anywhere without it -- we have to coax it off of her at bedtime. We've only had it for a couple of weeks, but it seems very sturdy and durable, like it will last a long time. This is so cute -- you really have to see it in person! I got this for my little Dora fan and she loves it:) It's the perfect size for on the go fun ... She packs it with her favorite toys and loves to wear it ... She insists on "checking the map" before we go anywhere ... Good thing Map is securely attached ... I gave it 4 stars for durability because the closure ... a small magnet ... opens easily allowing everything to fall out ... A Simple fix ... I just sewed some velcro obove the magnet and hot glued the other side under the flap ... Now it stays closed and is better than ever :) The plush design is so much cuter than the hard & soft plastic versions I've seen ... A great buy:)Customer Review: DELICIOSO!

I bought this backpack for my young cousin who is an avid Dora fan. When I opened the package I immediately knew she would love it as well. It works like a real backpack that also carries the detachable map. I almost bought the other backpack thinking that it was the same but it isn't. Don't be fooled.! The other is just a plush toy best used to sleep with. This backpack is soft, and seems durable. It closes using a magnet which may work better if replaced with some velcro for a much more secure fit.
It's is so cute, soft, cuddly and very useful that even I want one for myself!

I got this toy for my 3-year-old Dora fan. She loves it. She puts anything and everything in it. From play food to other Dora toys to her younger sister's blocks. The magnetic "latch" is nice and hassle-free. My 3-year-old has no trouble operating it...plus she loves the idea of a magnet being the latch for the backpack. It makes it unique. My daughter plans to use this backpack when she starts pre-school.
The only reason I gave 3 stars for the "educational" category is because it's not really an educational type of toy.
