Customer Review: Funrise Toys are NOT made like the Tonka Toys.

We bought our 3 yo son the Tonka MIGHTY MOTORIZED FIRE ENGINE as a Christmas present. The truck EATS 4 C batteries, why they did not design it to use D batteries is beyond me. Anyway, out of the box the truck has 4 AA batteries installed using a clelver adapter, I guess to save cost. How cheap! My son loved this fire truck and played with it for many hours...but after about a week of play the truck no longer moves (FWD or REV). I tryed to contact Funrise, but they would not even return an email. Not even the automated acknowledgement. This company is a real POS. Either Mattel does not know this or they do not care. But stay away from all things Funrise!Customer Review: TAKE NOTE!

I bought this truck for my son's 2 b-day in sept. and a week later the thing that makes the ladder go up stopped working, I thought it was batteries but nothing changed. In Dec. I bought the garbage truck because he went crazy for it when he saw it. when I got it out of the box, I was showing him how it works, and found out that the thing that makes the trash can go up, does not work either!!!! What a big disapointment for me and for him! It could have being so much fun if these trucks would have work like they are supposed to.Customer Review: Awesome firetruck!

Boy, is this truck a must-have! I've searched and searched for a nice firetruck and finally found this one. It's just great! Talk about hours of fun! The ladder extends and provides tons of fun - rescuing animals from buildings, etc. It goes great with the wooden train set and has even rescued trains that have fallen off the track. This is definitely a favorite in our house - it's amazing to see how many stuffed animals that get to go for a ride on it too! A great, great toy and I highly recommend it!Customer Review: Very well designed

Bought this toy for my 2 1/2 yr-old Grandchild, and even if he doesn't seem to be a "destructive" type of boy, he did handle it with no restrictions. In spite of that, the truck works OK, and the ladder is intact.
I liked the fact that there are several choices for the electronics. Siren sounds, messages, etc
The fireman figure received a good deal of handling, but remains in one piece.
I recommend this truck for any kid 3 or more year-old.

My son is 2 & 1/2 and he loves this fire truck. Santa brought it to him and he played with it for an hour before he looked at any other present! The ladder rotates 360 degrees with a little noise and the lights work but there is no siren! It's a great toy that won't grate on your nerves!
