I bought this product for my 1 1/2 yr old, he was crazy about bubbles but I was tired of blowing. The machine works great, the only problem I had was the tiny bottle of soap solution it came with. I think we used it all in one day. Trying to get a refill solution has been a problem. Unless of course you buy the machine that comes with the 32oz refill bottle. I did not, so I had a hard time trying to find just the bubble solution alone especially in such a big bottle(which you need)!!!!!!
In the end I went to Wal-Mart and spent less than a dollar for some unknown brand of bubble solution, it works just as good and I found a big enough bottle to last more than a day. Overall great bubble machine my son loves it.

I got this, plus a huge 64oz refill bottle of Gazillion Bubbles. Directions SAY to put the small bottle that comes in the package upsidown in the reservoir. Despite the flanger that SHOULD control flow within the bottle's top piece, the bubble juice came out so quickly that it flooded the machine, rendering it inoperable. I rinsed it carefully and set it aside to dry out. Later, I simply poured a bit of bubble stuff into the reservoir and it worked fine. So it works fine in that respect, but I didn't appreciate the gooey mess I wound up with when I followed their junky directions! For the money, it's a fun toy. Just don't get too much bubble juice in there at once or the party will be over.Customer Review: Bubble Bust!

This toy was wonderful (since I hate to blow bubbles manually for my 2 year old!), but it just stopped working after only 5 or 6 uses. As the other reviewers mentioned, it must rust out very quickly and the machine just ceases to work. I reluctantly threw it away. If you do purchase this, you will have to perform a lot of maintenance. Empty it completely after each use and do not let your toddler ever grab at it, as this is what causes the bubble solution to get into the battery compartment. Also, it's quite frustrating that the bubble solution can be found in just about any store (Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Toys R Us), yet I still am unable to find a store that carries a replacement bubble machine!!!Customer Review: Stopped working after a few uses.

This is a really cool bubble machine. We paid $25 at a private toy shop, since Toysrus didn't have anything like this at the time. My 6 month old loved it and we would put it on occassionally for her. One day a neighborhood kid was playing with it and the bubble solution overflowed. We rinsed it out, but didn't realize that the battery compartment was not sealed. Later when it didn't work and we went to change the batteries, everything was corroded. We just found another one at Toysrus us, this time for only $10, and we're going to be more careful. Still a great toy, and I'm sure if it breaks we'll just buy another one, but they really should change the design to protect the batteries.Customer Review: Wish it was more durable

It was fun while it lasted, but I hate how poorly toys are put together these days. What happened to well-constructed American toys? For one thing, it eats up WAY too many batteries. They should make it run on a 9V one instead. All those AAs cost money! And then after a couple months it just stopped working altogether. My husband tried to open it up and fix it and could only get it running again by wrapping the whole thing up in black electrical tape. Everytime it stopped working my toddler son and I had to jiggle it just right for something to connect right again. Frustration, frustration. We give up on ever getting one of these again!
